Eva Mendes Can’t Leave Home Without These Adorable ‘Stuffy’ Companions
Eva Mendes, at 50, has fully embraced a new chapter in her life — what she affectionately calls the “Stuffy Era.” On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the actress shared a glimpse of her daily mom routine on Instagram, revealing the one item she can never leave home without: stuffed animals.
As a proud mom to two daughters, Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 8, whom she shares with longtime partner Ryan Gosling, 43, Eva finds herself constantly surrounded by these fluffy companions. “It’s all they want!” she humorously confesses.
Eva posted a couple of photos showcasing her oversized purple sunglasses and a large tote bag — a.k.a. her “Mami bag.” In the caption, she wrote, “Mami Life. I’m officially in the Stuffy Era. Where I cannot leave the house without at least two of them in my big Mami bag.”
In a short video clip, Eva gave fans a sneak peek inside her bag, which was filled with the essentials every mom can relate to: baby wipes, colored pencils, a coloring book, and, of course, a variety of stuffed animals.
“Are there others like me? When does this phase end? They’re everywhere! It’s all they want! 🧸!” she asks her followers.
The post resonated with many of her followers, including fellow actress Hannah Waddingham, who commented, “One in the car, one in my bag, one in her rucksack, 12 MILLION in her bedroom! And she’s 10!”
Eva’s reply was both relatable and filled with humor: “I feel seeeen! They’re invading our house! Good thing they’re cute (but l’m sure toxic😩) lotsa love to you beautiful mama! X.”
Despite the mild inconvenience, Eva admits she “low key” loves this phase. She told one follower, “Will take pics for stories later because now that I have a huge mom bag, they’re really pushing it. It’s so damn cute tho. I low key love it.”
One fan even mentioned Squishmallows, those large, pillow-like stuffed animals that have taken over kids’ rooms everywhere. Eva responded with a laugh, saying, “Oh yes! The squishmallows—that’s a whole other thing. Thankfully I haven’t been asked to carry them around…yet!”
