Eva Mendes Shares How Ryan Gosling Makes Her Feel Sexy And Confident

Eva Mendes recently opened up about how her longtime partner, Ryan Gosling, helps her feel sexy and confident in the simplest, sweetest ways. During an interview on October 17 with The Times about her role as the face of Stella McCartney’s winter 2024 campaign, the 50-year-old actress shared some reflections on their relationship.

Eva, known for her roles in movies like Hitch and her successful career as an entrepreneur and children’s book author, gushed about how Ryan, 43, brings out her sensuality. “I feel really f—— sexy at times,” she revealed, adding, “The way my man looks at me is just … at times I’m like, oh my God. That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he’s giving me.”

Despite her strong sense of confidence now, Eva said that she’s never considered herself traditionally beautiful. “There are so many things that can make me feel sexy, and I’d say that I feel more sexy than not,” she explained. “I guess because I’ve never considered myself beautiful, but I’ve always felt very sexy.”

Eva and Ryan, who first met while working on the 2011 film The Place Beyond the Pines, have been inseparable ever since. They began dating after the movie wrapped and now share two daughters, Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8. 

Eva looks back on the film fondly, saying, “He gets something out of me that’s never been accessible before.

She also reflected on her acting career, admitting that it was never her true passion. Revealing that she was “never in love with acting,” she added, “I don’t mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn’t a great actress. I had my moments when I worked with really great people.” However, her collaboration with Ryan on The Place Beyond the Pines remains a standout moment for her.

Their relationship has always been one of mutual support. In a May interview with PEOPLE, Eva shared how Ryan has been her rock throughout the years. While she kept the details private, she emphasized that he supports her in every way she needs. “I’m not going to tell you that, but in all the ways I need to be supported, he’s got me in all the ways,” she stated.

Ryan has been equally vocal about how much Eva means to him. In a separate interview with Extra in May, he praised her as not only a great mother but also his biggest supporter in his acting career. “She is with the girls, and when she works, I stay home with the girls too. I couldn’t be here without her,” he stated.

The actor even called Ryan his acting coach, saying, “She has really become the best acting coach I have ever had. It’s endless how she helps me.”
