Former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay Ordered To Pay $460K To Bryan Abasolo In Divorce Deal
Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have officially ended their four-year marriage after months of legal battles and tense negotiations. On January 7, the former Bachelorette couple finalized their divorce and agreed on how to split their shared assets, including properties, cars, and other personal items. As part of the settlement, Rachel will retain their Los Angeles home in North Hollywood, while Bryan keeps the Miami condo.
The division of their belongings also extends to their vehicles, with Bryan taking the 2021 Honda Accord and Rachel driving away in the 2023 Porsche Macan. Both will keep their wedding bands and matching Breitling watches, items that likely held sentimental value from their time together. Rachel will also keep her Bachelorette engagement ring and artwork by artist Jad Najjar, which includes meaningful paintings and photos.
One of the most notable aspects of the settlement is the financial arrangement. Rachel has been ordered to pay Bryan a $500,000 equalization payment, though she will receive credit for $39,771 already paid in spousal support. This reduces the amount she owes to $460,229. Rachel is required to pay half of this — $230,114.50 — by January 17, 2025, with the remaining half due by January 7, 2026. The second payment will accrue a 3% annual interest rate.
The divorce proceedings were marked by disputes over spousal support and legal fees. Bryan initially requested $16,275 per month to cover his financial needs, citing a monthly income of only $1,341 and an annual income of $16,000. Rachel pushed back, accusing Bryan of inflating his expenses and pointing out that his reported income was “less than he would [earn] if he worked at McDonald’s.”
Despite the disagreements, Rachel was temporarily ordered to pay $13,257 per month in spousal support starting in July 2024.
With both parties waiving their rights to any additional spousal support, the settlement brings an end to their financial obligations once Rachel fulfills the remaining payments.
