Gisele Bündchen Publicly Speaks About Ex-Husband Tom Brady’s Second-Time Decision To Retire From NFL
Gisele Bündchen seems to have “moved on with her life quite a while ago,” but the 42-year-old ex-wife of Tom Brady, had a few things left to tell the NFL star.
Following the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s second announcement of his retirement from American football, the 45-year-old supermodel left a comment on her ex’s post saying, “Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life.” Concluding the comment was a praying hands emoji.
Since their split that fans described as “traumatizing,” the couple has still kept things amicable. Making a public announcement of their divorce, Tom noted that it was a “painful and difficult” process.
“However, we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written. And we kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate what is to come in the days and weeks ahead,” Tom wrote about their divorce.
The news of the couple’s divorce came after the former NFL star went back on his first decision to retire from American football in February 2022. According to a report from NY Post, the divorce was due to the top model’s displeasure with Tom’s decision to overturn his retirement plans.
However, a source told People that the quarterback’s decision to return to NFL was “far from the only issue” in their marriage. “Gisele likes to keep things positive. She finds negativity to be toxic, and she wants no part of it. She wants Tom to thrive. It’s beneficial for their kids,” the source added.
Ahead of the NFL player’s recent retirement announcement, DailyMail spotted the Brazilian model landing in Miami on Tuesday. Since the divorce, she has taken up other responsibilities like tending to her Miami Beach home construction and parenting their two kids — Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 10.
The insider told People that Gisele is “extremely busy in her career and life” and “optimistic about her future.” Also, the divorced couple has made an amicable decision to make Miami a “home base” for their family.
While the hearts of many fans broke over the end of their 13-year-old marriage, both parties seem to be maintaining their joint decision of making their children’s happiness their priority.
On the other hand, Tom’s second-time retirement announcement comes after the Buccaneers lost to the Dallas Cowboys, and the loss of a regular season. Since sharing a video explaining his new decision, celebrities and fans have congratulated and wished the champion well.
