Halle Bailey Embraces Motherhood And Reveals The Inspiration Behind Her Son’s Unique Name
Halle Bailey, the talented singer and actress, is relishing her role as a new mom, and she recently shared the heartwarming story of how her baby boy, Halo, got his distinctive name.
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, the 23-year-old star, known for her upcoming role in The Little Mermaid, discussed her partnership with CORE Hydration and opened up about the inspiration behind her son’s name.
Halle revealed, “It was actually my boyfriend’s idea.” She credited her boyfriend, DDG, for suggesting the name Halo. “He’s the one who came up with his name. We just agreed, and we loved it. I love the name Halo,” he added.
When asked if there’s any connection between her son’s name and Beyoncé’s song of the same name from the I Am… Sasha Fierce album, Halle laughed and said, “He for sure has a theme song.”
She delighted her fans by announcing the birth of her first child on Instagram in December. She shared a heartwarming photo of her manicured hand holding her baby’s tiny hand, adorned with a gold bracelet engraved with the name “Halo.”
In her caption, Halle expressed her joy, saying, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son… welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️.”
DDG, her boyfriend of over a year, also shared his excitement about becoming a father in a video on his YouTube page. He praised Halle as a “great mom” and shared his joy at starting this new chapter of their lives together.
The actress described her journey into motherhood as an exciting new role for her, emphasizing her deep affection for her baby boy. She referred to him as “the sweetest angel in the world.”
