Halle Bailey Ready To Returns To Music After Wrapping Up Movie Role
Halle Bailey, the talented singer and actress, is ready to dive back into her first love—music. On June 19, the 24-year-old star took to Instagram to share her excitement about returning to the recording studio.
“I have one more week until I wrap this movie 🎥 and then it’s back to my love musicccc ♥️,” she wrote, accompanying the post with a vibrant photo of herself in a turquoise bikini top and matching skirt, strumming a turquoise guitar.
This announcement marks a significant moment for Halle, who, alongside her sister Chloe, forms the dynamic duo Chloe x Halle. The Instagram update comes after Chloe’s solo performance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in April, marking her first solo appearance since the duo’s previous performances there.
In February, the sisters discussed their musical plans with PEOPLE, hinting at exciting new projects set for release in 2024.
“We’re definitely working on really exciting things together, and it’s been very nostalgic. It’s bringing us back to our roots, and we can’t wait until we can present that to the world,” Chloe, 25, shared.
Halle added, “I would definitely just say you’ll see new music and new projects, and more seeing us together. It’s more blessings, and we’re just really grateful and excited to be continuing.”
Their last collaborative album, Ungodly Hour, released in 2020, was a massive success. Since then, both have ventured into solo projects. Chloe debuted her solo album, In Pieces, in 2023, while Halle released her first solo single, Angel, the same year.
Despite their solo endeavors, the sisters are thrilled to create more music together. Chloe expressed her pride in their journey, stating, “The possibilities are endless, and I’m just really proud of my sister, and I’m proud of myself.”
In addition to their musical achievements, both sisters have been making waves in the acting world. Halle starred in the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid and the musical The Color Purple. She is also set to star in Michael Gondry’s Atlantis. Meanwhile, Chloe showcased her acting chops in Praise This, Jane, and The Georgetown Project.
With their impressive discography, including their debut album from 2016 The Kids Are Alright, the 2017 mixtape The Two of Us, and EPs like 2013’s Uncovered and 2016’s Sugar Symphony, Chloe x Halle have proven themselves as formidable artists.
