Harry and Meghan Move On With New Friend John Travolta

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to be moving on after their friendship with the Beckhams has ended. Recently, news surfaced that Harry and Meghan have started befriending another Hollywood star.

Scientologist John Travolta appears to be sharing growing ties with the Sussexes. This comes after news that David and Victoria are keen to put some distance between the melodramatic Duke and Duchess.

It was reported that Harry and Meghan spent some time with the Grease star in a gathering held in the exclusive Polo Lounge of Los Angeles’ The Beverley Hills Hotel.

One source revealed to The Sun that Harry and Meghan aren’t interested in Scientology, but the three got along well during one of the events hosted by the Archewell Foundation.

John is no stranger to socializing with the Royal family. Recall that he famously danced with Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana, in 1985 when the Princess was a guest at the White House.

Many are second-guessing the direction that Harry and Meghan are taking regarding their goal of financial freedom. So far, their plans are not pushing through and they’ve had to deal with failed transactions. Additionally, they’ve had a falling out with most of the friends they had when they first moved to the US.

But what caused the Sussex’s rift with the Beckhams? The two couples have been close friends, with David and Victoria attending their 2018 royal wedding. A close friend of the Beckhams shared that David and Victoria even supported the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, especially when Meghan first arrived in the UK. They all bonded with friends and were key figures in the Duke and Duchess’ UK life.

Apparently, Harry and Meghan believe that the Beckhams were responsible for leaking stories about them. One tense phone call from the Sussexes fractured the friendship. The report that surfaced revealed that the 38-year-old Harry called David and confronted the ex-England athlete, suggesting that he and Victoria were the ones responsible for all the leaked news about him and Meghan. The baseless accusation made David furious. As of now, any reconciliation seems unlikely. 

Their fallout with the British power couple could be an opportunity for Harry and Meghan to expand their Hollywood inner circle and ultimately move away from their social circles in the UK. Right now, the close friends of Harry and Meghan include Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi, as well as Victoria Jackson.

Meghan reportedly celebrated her last birthday watching Margot Robbie’s Barbie with Portia and other friends. But it was noted that Posh Spice was absent because their friendship was waning. This rumor seems to have some truth to it considering that Harry and Meghan were not invited to the wedding of David and Victoria’s son Brooklyn last April 2022.

With the recent fallout, the Duke and Duchess have earned a reputation for burning bridges wherever they go. Even Harry’s longtime friends are no longer in his life—much less his brother, William, The Prince of Wales.
