Heather Gay Reveals Shocking Truth About Her Season 3 Black Eye On RHOSLC
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City member Heather Gay has finally unveiled the truth behind the mystery of her black eye from Season 3. After nearly a year of speculation, Heather confirmed that it was former Housewife Jen Shah who gave her the shiner during Tuesday’s Season 4 finale.
The revelation unfolded during one of the franchise’s most dramatic scenes when Heather, along with her co-stars Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, and Whitney Rose, confronted rookie Housewife Monica Garcia. They accused Monica of involvement in the Instagram troll account Reality Von Tease. Heather couldn’t help but draw parallels between Monica’s behavior and that of her former BFF, Jen Shah, who is currently serving a five-year prison sentence for her role in a telemarketing scheme.
“We are friends, and we have been through this b—s— before with Jen. I went on a book tour, defended her, and took s— for the fact that she gave me a black eye,” Heather shared.
The revelation left the other women shocked, with Meredith immediately questioning, “What?” and Lisa gasping, “Woah.”
Continuing, Heather stated, “I had to ride hard for [Jen] and I had to lie for her. We’re not going to do it again with you,” before telling Monica to “pack her bags and go.”
Heather’s black eye had remained a mystery for some time. It occurred during a late-night party with castmates Jen and Meredith Marks in San Diego during Season 3. At the time, Bravo cameras weren’t rolling, leaving viewers in the dark about the details of the incident.
During the Season 3 reunion in January 2023, Heather described the incident as “humiliating” but offered no answers about how she sustained the black eye, despite hinting that everyone knew what happened. She claimed, “I don’t know how I got the black eye… I blacked out. I don’t know what happened.”
Since then, many speculated that Jen was responsible for Heather’s black eye, given their late-night party and the fact that Heather called Jen immediately after the incident. Heather even expressed her trust in Jen and initially wanted her help to create a “cover story.”
Heather and Jen were once close friends, meeting shortly before filming the first season of RHOSLC. Heather stood by Jen’s side during her arrest and legal troubles, but everything changed when Jen pled guilty to her charges in March 2021.
However, despite Heather’s revelation during the Season 4 finale, further details remain undisclosed, and Jen has not addressed the incident from prison. Fans can expect more information to come to light during the upcoming three-part reunion, with the first part airing next week.
