Heidi Klum And Daughter Leni Pose in New Lingerie Shoot After Previous Shoot Was Deemed “Inappropriate”
Heidi Klum and her daughter, Leni, are proving that they don’t care what the world thinks as the two pose in photos from a new Intimissimi campaign directed by Hayo in Los Angeles. The photos to ring in the holiday season comes after social media bashed their previous shoot for the Italian brand.
In the new shoot, Heidi stuns in semi-sheer red lace lingerie. The briefs in the set sit in a v-shape and have a silver chain detail. Leni rocks a matching red satin set topped with lace. Mom on the left, daughter on the right, the two lean against each other with their heads close together and eyes closed.
Earlier this month, the 49-year-old and 18-year-old were called out after sharing shots from their first shoot for the Intimissimi campaign. Heidi wore a vintage-inspired black and white lace two-piece lingerie while Leni rocked an unlined lace bralette. The behind-the-scenes footage shows the two embracing one another and dancing in the middle of more serious poses. At one point, they shared a peck.
The campaign faced a lot of criticism from social media users, especially when Howard Stern branded it inappropriate on his show. “I looked at it and I thought, ‘This is so f**king’ out of line. It is so inappropriate. But you can’t stop looking at it,” he said.
Many Twitter users agreed. For one, the shoot was “icky.” Another thought it was weird because they wouldn’t model sexy lingerie with their mom.
Despite the backlash, Leni said she was unfazed and loved the campaign and the priceless moment she enjoyed with her mother while making the shots. For her, no opinion could make her lose sight of the amazing time she had and the “great” photos that came out of it.
Waving the negative feedback aside, Leni said she is grateful for the opportunity to work with her mother, who is an inspiration to her.
Heidi shares Leni with ex Flavio Briatore. However, the 18-year-old was legally adopted by Kiss From a Rose singer Seal in 2009 after he got married to the television host in 2005.
Leni, a social media personality with 1.5 million followers on Instagram, chose to follow in her mother’s footsteps in fashion. She has been featured in top issues from Vogue Germany to Hunger. Last week, she walked in Milan Fashion Week. The controversial shoot would be her first modeling stint with the Making a Cut star, and while some didn’t like it, others had good things to say. Some comments in defense of the shots maintained that the campaign was classy, pointing out that the lingerie style they rocked was more covered than most bathing suits. Another fan chalked down the negative comments to “100% pure jealousy.”
Whatever reaction they get this time, these two seem set in their ways and are not likely to exit the campaign.
