“I Said What I Said”: Sheryl Lee Ralph Makes Snide Remarks At The Kardashians For “Paying $10k” For Fuller Lips
At the 80th Golden Globes Awards that took place on Tuesday night at Beverly Hills, actor Sheryl Lee Ralph threw shades at the Kardshian-Jenner family for spending thousands of dollars to enhance their God-given lips.
This happened when InStyle’s Kirbie Johnson asked the Abbott Elementary star what she would tell her 15-year-old self if she could.
“There’s nothing wrong with your nose. There is nothing wrong with the shade of your skin. There is nothing wrong with the way your hair grows out of your head,” the 66-year-old Emmy winner happily said outside The Beverly Hilton.
She goes on, “and there certainly is nothing wrong with your lips because there will be some people called the Kardashians, and they will pay $10k for your lips. Hang in there 15-year-old Sheryl Lee Ralph. You’re good.”
Every Keeping Up with the Kardashian reality TV fan has certainly had a front-row seat on national TV, watching members of the Kardshian-Jenner family completely transform their looks since the start of the show in 2007. However, Kylie Jenner, Kim, and Khloé Kardashian are the only family members that have openly admitted to enhancing their lips with lip fillers.
While their looks have quite changed from what it was in 2007, nobody in the family has admitted to having done plastic surgery, even though they’re regular clients of the celebrity cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Simon Ourian, who goes on house calls for clients that can’t make it to his clinic in Epione Beverly Hills.
Dr. Simon Ourian appeared on many episodes of KUWTK. In one of them, he was seen doing an OptiLipo to remove cellulite from Khloé while Kim and Kendall Jenner snacked on cookies in the background.
The veteran actor, Sheryl, who graced the 80th Golden Globes red carpet in a custom embellished purple Aliétte gown, has since dropped a tweet saying, “I said what I said. Now, I’m going to bed. Goodnight!” with kisses and love emojis.
Although the post did not directly point to anything in particular, the comment section corroborates what the tweet could be a reference to.
Meanwhile, the Connecticut-born and Long-Island-raised actress had her wig for the award show styled by hairstylist Moira “Fingaz” Frazier and a fully-contoured make-up done by artist Mila Thomas.
The night saw her Abbott Elementary family take home the prize for the best TV series–Musical or Comedy.
