Isla Fisher has a surprising keepsake from Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s wedding — one she didn’t even realize she had.
In a recent interview with The Times, the 49-year-old actress revealed that she still owns a wedding gift meant for the former Hollywood power couple, almost two decades after their divorce.
“I found a vase in my kitchen, I turned it upside down and it said ‘Brad and Jen, Happy Wedding!’” she shared.
Isla had lived in Jennifer’s empty home during the mid-2000s with her now-estranged husband, Sacha Baron Cohen. “Somehow, when I left her house, I took that vase. So I have to get it back to her. It’s beautiful.”
Brad, now 61, and Jennifer, now 55, tied the knot in a dreamy Malibu wedding in July 2000. However, their marriage ended in 2005, with the couple publicly announcing their split in January of that year.
“We would like to announce that after seven years together, we have decided to formally separate,” they said at the time.
Their statement added, “For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media.”
Meanwhile, Isla also opened up about her own recent split from Sacha, 53.
“It’s the most difficult thing that I’ve been through, and I’ve learnt so much about myself in the process. I never imagined my family being separated,” she admitted, “but we are committed and loving parents.”
The couple, who share daughters Olive, 17, Elula, 14, and son Montgomery, 9, announced their breakup on April 5, 2024.
“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage,” they revealed on Instagram, posting a photo of themselves in matching tennis outfits.
Isla and Sacha first met at a party in Sydney in 2001, got engaged in 2004, and married in 2010.
During the interview, Fisher spoke about the importance of female friendships, especially during tough times.
“The women in my life have held me… the female relationships that I cultivated in our business, those women have been there for me,” she said emotionally.
She reflected on her journey, adding that it has been an “expansive learning curve.”
