Jamie Lee Curtis Celebrates New Movie Grandmother Status With Thoughtful Gift To Lindsay Lohan’s Bab
In a heartwarming gesture, Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis, 64, embraced her new “movie grandmother” status by sending a sweet and thoughtful gift to her former co-star Lindsay Lohan, who recently welcomed her first baby.
Lindsay, 37, took to her Instagram Story to express her gratitude, sharing a photo of an assortment of children’s books that Jamie sent for her newborn son, Luai. The collection included books written by the talented actress herself, making the gift all the more special.
Earlier this month, Jamie publicly congratulated Lindsay on the arrival of her baby boy with a heartwarming Instagram post. She shared a throwback photo of herself with Lindsay, reminiscing about their time together as “movie mother” and “movie daughter.”
“My movie daughter just made me a movie grandmother. Blessings to Lindsay and Bader for the birth of Luai! @lindsaylohan,” she wrote.
Their bond, formed during the filming of Freaky Friday two decades ago, has remained strong over the years. Lindsay revealed in June that she sought mentorship from Jamie regarding impending motherhood before welcoming her first child.
Speaking to Allure, she said, “I spoke to Jamie Lee Curtis recently, and she was like, ‘You just bring the baby with you and everything will be fine.”
In May, the co-stars had a reunion interview with The New York Times to commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Freaky Friday. During the interview, they expressed their desire to do a sequel to the beloved movie. Jamie even teased that the sequel is likely to happen.
As she traveled the world promoting Halloween Ends, the actress noticed the immense interest in a Freaky Friday sequel. She wasted no time and promptly reached out to her friends at Disney, stating that it felt like there was a new movie to be made.
Explaining the situation, she said, “As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday. Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made.’”
Lindsay added that both she and Jamie are eager to work on the sequel, but they are leaving the decision in the hands of the fans. Their primary goal is to create something that people will absolutely adore.
