Jana Duggar Embraces Farm Life And Returns To YouTube With Heartwarming Updates
Jana Duggar is loving life on the farm! On Sunday, June 30, the former Counting On star delighted fans by sharing her first YouTube video in over three years. Titled Life Update + Projects I’ve Been Working On, the video offers a glimpse into the bustling activities and heartwarming projects on her Arkansas property.
“It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an update,” Jana, 34, began in the video.
“It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an update. So I wanted to show you all what we’ve been up to the past few months on the farm and some fun projects that we’ve been working on,” she added.
With her sisters Johannah, 18, and Josie, 14, by her side, Jana has been busy transforming their farm.
One of the most exciting developments has been the addition of a “whole truckload” of sheep and goats. The sisters also took on the task of cleaning up the old farm shed and building a new fence to keep the animals out of the garden. “So many new kids were born this spring!” Jana exclaimed, showing fans an adorable baby goat, along with chicks, a duck, and even a snake she had pinned down in the garden.
Jana shared the joy of building the new fence, which not only protects their garden but also enhances its beauty. “It’s not only doing the job of keeping the animals out, but it also just creates this beautiful backdrop to the garden, and just I think completes that whole area,” she said, clearly pleased with the result. The family even added an awning off the side of the shed to provide extra shade for the animals.
“This is how it’s done these days,” Jana joked as she filmed the materials being loaded onto a truck, adding, “I’m retiring now, y’all have got it!”
She fondly recalled the special memories made while putting the finishing touches on the fence late at night. “I am so pleased with how it all came together,” she said.
Jana’s return to social media in May, after a two-year hiatus, was met with enthusiasm from her followers. She first shared a clip of some purple flowers and followed it with a heartfelt Mother’s Day post for her mom, Michelle Duggar, on Instagram.
Her social-media break came after she reached a settlement outside of court in January 2022 regarding a child-endangerment citation from late 2021. Jana had explained on Instagram that the incident was an accident, and the child was unharmed after wandering outside alone. “I was certainly never arrested like some may have implied,” she clarified, expressing her upset over the incident.
The news of Jana’s citation surfaced shortly after her brother Josh Duggar was convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material, leading to his sentence of more than 12 years in federal prison in May 2022.
Despite these past challenges, Jana’s new video radiates positivity as she embraces the joys of farm life and shares her adventures with her fans. “I absolutely love this time of year,” she concluded.
“You can see the flowers growing, the vegetables are starting to grow, and it’s just new life that is blossoming everywhere. It is so beautiful out here,” she added.
