Jeremy Renner Returning To TV As Paramount+ Announces Mayor of Kingstown Season Three Starring Wounded Actor
Jeremy Renner is set to make his return to television in the highly anticipated third season of Mayor of Kingstown, less than a year after a devastating snowplow accident left him with serious injuries. This exciting news comes as a beacon of hope for fans and supporters of the talented actor, who have been eagerly awaiting his return to the screen.
Paramount+ made the official announcement of the show’s renewal for its third season, a decision that had been kept under wraps for several months. The delay in the formal announcement was out of consideration for Renner’s ongoing recovery, as insiders shared with The Hollywood Reporter.
While a premiere date for the upcoming season has yet to be revealed, Jeremy Renner’s unwavering determination to heal is an inspiration. The actor, known for his role as Mike McLusky since 2021, showed his resilience by documenting his recovery journey on Instagram. In a recent post, he shared a video of his leg exercises, accompanied by a powerful message of positivity and perseverance.
“Positive daily routines have been a solid foundation in my recovery. Build your mind, the body will follow. I make sure I get leg movements and stretches every day, ‘oil’ up inside my metal/joints with movement, push out scar tissue, strengthen muscle, tendons to have more joint support,” the explained.
“If you’re struggling, just know your attitude will dictate every waking moment moving forward. Let go of the past, and move with positive intention, and you will be provided. I promise,” he added.
Jeremy’s journey back to health has been nothing short of extraordinary. His life took a dramatic turn earlier this year when a snowplow accident crushed his chest and collapsed his upper torso near his Lake Tahoe home. The incident occurred while he was attempting to rescue his nephew’s vehicle from the snow in his driveway.
The 911 call that followed captured the actor’s agonizing moments, leading to his airlift to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, where he was initially listed in ‘critical but stable condition.’ The extent of his injuries was sobering, with nearly three dozen broken bones and a host of cuts, scrapes, and bruises.
However, Jeremy’s spirit refused to be broken. As he stabilized and embarked on his recovery journey, he began sharing updates on his progress via social media. A January 21 post depicted him in physical therapy, a testament to his determination.
In a January post, he wrote, “Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new year. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love.”
By mid-April, his hard work in the gym and physical therapy paid off. He regained enough strength to walk hand-in-hand with Ava at the premiere of his Disney+ series mini-series, Rennervations, where he selflessly reconstructs decommissioned vehicles for charitable purposes.
