Jessica Alba Files for Divorce from Cash Warren After 20 Years Together

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are officially going their separate ways.

The Trigger Warning actress, 43, filed for divorce in Los Angeles County on February 7, citing irreconcilable differences. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, their date of separation is listed as December 27, 2024. Jessica has requested joint custody of their three children — Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 7 — and also asked to restore her legal name to Jessica Marie Alba.

The couple, who tied the knot on May 19, 2008, had been together for two decades. On January 16, after reports of their separation surfaced, Jessica took to Instagram to confirm the split. She shared that she had been on a journey of “self-realization and transformation” both personally and in her marriage.

“I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years,” she wrote, “it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”

Despite the split, the Honest Company co-founder made it clear that love and respect remain at the center of their relationship. “We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time,” she added.

Jessica’s words reflect a thoughtful and amicable separation, but just months ago, things seemed different. In May 2024, she celebrated their wedding anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, “I’m proud of us for making it this far. There is no real set of rules or guidance that can ever prepare you for what it means to commit to another person and choose to be family.”

She also spoke about their resilience as a couple. “Through thick and thin, we have continually found our way back to each other and have chosen one another. Cheers to us, I love you.”
