Jimmy Kimmel Threatens Legal Action Against Aaron Rodgers Over Epstein Claims
Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is considering taking legal action against NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers following claims made by Aaron about Jimmy’s alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who faced federal conspiracy and sex trafficking charges before taking his own life.
The controversy unfolded during Aaron’s appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, where the conversation took an unexpected turn towards the impending release of a list containing names of high-profile individuals rumored to be associated with Epstein.
Aaron, 40, made a startling statement during the show, saying, “A lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are hoping that doesn’t come out.” This clip quickly circulated on social media, sparking a fiery response from Jimmy.
Jimmy took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to set the record straight, addressing Aaron directly, saying, “Dear [Aa–hole]: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up, and we will debate the facts further in court. @AaronRodgers12.”
His tweet, which was posted shortly after Aaron’s comments, also had the interview clip attached.
It is important to note that Disney is the parent company of ABC, which airs Jimmy Kimmel Live, and ESPN, the network that hosts The Pat McAfee Show.
The backdrop of this controversy is the imminent release of a list by U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska, which is believed to contain over 200 names associated with the registered sex offender Epstein, who took his own life while in jail in August 2019.
Loretta has ordered the unsealing of this list to commence after January 1st, and it’s expected to include former employees of Epstein, individuals who traveled on his planes, and notable figures such as Britain’s Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton.
Aaron’s interview remarks continued with, “I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle.” Pat added that Aaron’s comments were seemingly in response to a joke Jimmy made on air back in March about a previous segment featuring Aaron.
Jimmy referred to the segment as “Green Bay Wack Packer Aaron Rodgers” and mentioned “tin foil hatters” discussing topics like aliens, UFOs, and Epstein. After the video ended, Jimmy quipped, “It might be time to revisit that concussion protocol, Aaron.”
