Justin Timberlake Makes A Triumphant Return with New Music For His Fans
Justin Timberlake is back with a bang, and he’s got something special in store for his fans. At 42 years old, Justin is making waves with his upcoming single Selfish, marking his triumphant return as a solo artist after a six-year hiatus since his 2018 album Man in the Woods. The excitement is palpable as he shared a sneak peek of this new musical masterpiece on his Instagram account last Friday.
In a captivating video, the Mirrors hitmaker not only gave his fans a taste of his mesmerizing mid-tempo ballad but also treated us to behind-the-scenes glimpses of his intimate gig at The Orpheum in Memphis, Tennessee. This show took place on a Friday evening and was truly a one-of-a-kind experience for his fans.
In the Instagram post, Justin captioned it as “ONE NIGHT ONLY,” setting the stage for something extraordinary. The singer stood on the stage before the show, and as the video continued, he strolled through the empty auditorium, watching his talented band set up on the stage before the audience arrived.
Another intriguing moment from the video showed Justin holding a hat that posed a thought-provoking question, “What’s better than having everything that you dreamed of?”
But the surprises didn’t end there. Earlier on that same Friday, the singer shared a teaser video for “EVERYTHING I THOUGHT IT WAS,” believed to be his upcoming album. In an amusing twist, he introduced it as “Justin Timberlake Presents: ‘EVERYTHING I THOUGHT IT WAS’ Preface by Benicio Del Toro.”
In this mock movie trailer-style clip, the seasoned actor Benicio Del Toro, who co-starred with Timberlake in the 2023 Netflix film Reptile, lent his voice for a narration. Del, 56, kicked it off by saying, “What do we have here?” as a model car appeared on the screen. His witty commentary continued as he questioned the authenticity of a stunning sunset and playfully pondered, “Oh, that’s a nice car — wait, it’s a model. Did that say, ‘JT?'”
The trailer-style video added an element of mystery and intrigue as the camera panned out to reveal Justin standing with his back turned. Del humorously quipped, “Oh, there is Justin. Why won’t he turn around? What the f— is he staring at?” The clip concluded with suspenseful horror-style music, leaving fans eager for more.
And if that wasn’t enough to build up excitement, Justin also dropped the news that he will be gracing the stage of Saturday Night Live on January 27th, alongside host Dakota Johnson.
His return to the music scene is eagerly awaited, especially after his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods, released on February 2, 2018. The album featured hit singles like Filthy, Supplies, Man of the Woods and Say Something featuring Chris Stapleton.
