Kanye West and Bianca Censori’s Legal Marriage Confirmed with Confidential Documents
Since Kanye West tied the knot with Bianca Censori, there have been doubts about the legality of their marriage. Many speculated that the whirlwind union was not legally binding and that they were only husband and wife on their terms.
All speculation can now be put to rest because documents show that Ye and Bianca are legally and officially married. The confusion about their union was explained after they apparently signed a confidential marriage license in California. What this means is that their marriage was not on the public record.
Recall that news about the 46-year-old rapper and the 28-year-old Australian architect came out this January. Still, there was no evidence of the ceremony, thus prompting many to speculate that it was not a legally binding marriage.
One entertainment portal was able to obtain and review the official marriage documents of the two. In the file, the date of marriage was not January 2023 but December 20, 2022, just one month after Kanye finalized his divorce from his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
According to the obtained document, the couple held their union in a secret location in Palo Alto, California, near Silicon Valley. The marriage certificate was filed under Bianca Censori’s full name, and instead of using his full name, Kanye Omari West, the rapper just used Ye, his legal mononym since October 2021.
James Mayfield, a California-based officiant, conducted the ceremony. He is known to offer different packages for couples, including confidential marriages that do not need a courthouse ceremony, nor do they need any witnesses.
Kanye’s Wyoming ranch was listed as their marital home, a sprawling property he purchased 1in 2019 for $14 million. Interestingly, the farm is still largely the same as when it was purchased, with no renovations or developments applied to it.
One close friend of the couple shed light on why Ye and Bianca opted for a confidential marriage license. They explained, “Ye has been a megastar for two decades and counting, and his first marriage was to someone who lives almost full-time in front of a camera.”
They continued, “Bianca and Ye have a totally different vibe. They are very private, very affectionate, and totally devoted to each other. I think they both enjoy carving out time that’s just for them. For that reason, they’ve been extremely hush-hush about the specifics of their wedding day. I don’t think anyone besides the pair knows exactly how it went down.”
The same insider confirmed that the two are very happy to be married and are besotted with each other.
Today, one out of five California marriages are classified as confidential and won’t appear in public records. They are legally binding unions that would require the same divorce process if the couple no longer wants to be together.
Until now, the pair are still facing controversy and even legal issues thanks to their recent trip to Italy. It is said that a boating company in the country has banned them because of an incident of indecent exposure.
