Kardashian Sister Drama: Kourtney Opens Up About Hurt Over Kim’s Collaboration With Dolce & Gabbana
Kourtney Kardashian recently opened up about her emotional distress regarding her sister Kim Kardashian’s involvement with Dolce & Gabbana. In a tearful conversation with her sister Kendall Jenner, Kourtney expressed her hurt over Kim’s decision to serve as the creative director for the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Milan, which came after the fashion house designed Kourtney’s own wedding in Italy.
Through tears, Kourtney explained to Kendall that the issue wasn’t solely about business for her. She revealed how her love for the Italian lifestyle, which she referred to as “living la dolce vita,” had been a significant part of her life for several summers. Kourtney disclosed that Kim had conversations with Dolce & Gabbana during her Italian wedding, but she was unaware of their discussions. According to Kourtney, Kim had called her only to mention a collaboration between her brand SKIMS and Dolce & Gabbana, without seeking her opinion or blessing.
Kendall empathized with Kourtney, acknowledging that she could understand how her sister might feel that her boundaries were crossed. Kourtney expressed her frustration, stating that there were numerous opportunities available and that Kim’s actions took precedence over sisterly love. Overwhelmed with emotion, Kourtney cried, explaining how the situation deeply upset her.
To her, it seemed as though Kim merely saw dollar signs rather than the personal meaning behind her wedding. The mom of three recounted how her friends had noticed Kim’s spiraling behavior during the event.
“I think she sees everything that I had there and takes it for her own and she doesn’t even see it. She sees it as like the dollar signs, but to me, I see it, and I see it like, oh, you were there, you weren’t happy. Everyone said something to me, all my friends, they were all like, she’s like spiraling,” she stated.
Kendall, while supporting her sister’s perspective, clarified that Kim’s actions might not have been intentional or malicious. The 27-year-old model suggested that Kourtney and Kim should strive to find a balance between personal and professional lives. However, Kourtney emphasized the importance of communication, revealing that their mother had not informed her about Kim’s involvement with the fashion house. She felt that Kim and their mother acted as if they were entitled to make decisions without considering her feelings.
Kourtney’s frustration heightened when their mother sent messages urging Kourtney, Kendall, and their sister Kylie to promote Dolce & Gabbana. Kourtney expressed her disappointment, feeling that the whole situation lacked authenticity. “I’m like, ‘Does no one see anything that this feels weird?’ This actually feels really unauthentic to me and I can’t fake it and I don’t feel like supporting this,” she stated, as she vented.
According to Kourtney, she found it difficult to support something that did not feel real, as it overshadowed the special moments she had shared with Dolce & Gabbana during her wedding.
