Kelly Ripa’s Hilarious Wardrobe Mishap Causes A Stir On Morning Show
Kelly Ripa, the popular producer-host of LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, encountered a wardrobe malfunction during Wednesday’s episode of the show. The incident happened as she hurriedly made her way to the set, wearing a stunning $400 Cefinn ‘Daria Silk Blend Midi Dress.’
In front of the studio audience, the 52-year-old mother-of-three announced, “I had a small wardrobe emergency backstage!” She struggled with the pussy bow on her dress as she shared the mishap. Kelly expressed her excitement, saying, “It was very exciting. I almost did not walk out here!”
Kelly’s husband, Mark Consuelos, who now co-hosts the show, admitted that he was concerned about the situation and wondered how they would handle the opening. He wanted to give her more time to come out smoothly. Ripa replied with a playful tone, “Yeah, how you were going to wait for me.”
Mark, a 51-year-old Spanish actor, jokingly responded, “But then I got drunk with power. It’s gonna be me out here. It could turn into anything! It could be anything out here. Talking sports. That’s just it, just sports.”

On a previous episode, which aired on April 18, Kelly and Mark were enjoying a jive-dancing class with Dancing with the Stars couple Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy. During the dance, Kelly felt the back of her dress rip open.
Mark, being the caring husband, investigated the situation and discovered that Kelly’s two back straps had come loose at the waist. Trying to lighten the mood, Kelly joked, “it’s just a breakaway dress.” She then exclaimed, “Oh? Who cares!”
Seeking to make the situation better, Jenna said, “That’s what dance is all about. Take it off. It’s better!”

Kelly and Mark, who originally met on the set of the ABC soap opera All My Children, decided to elope after just a year of dating. They exchanged vows at the Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas, and are proud parents of three children. Their 25-year-old son Michael Joseph graduated from NYU in 2022, and their 20-year-old son Joaquin Antonio is currently a wrestler at the University of Michigan. On May 17, the couple attended their 21-year-old daughter Lola’s graduation ceremony. She earned her degree from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, taking a step closer to her dream of becoming a professional singer.
