Kevin Costner’s Wife Stays Put In His Home Even After Filing For Divorce, Violating Their Prenup Agreement

Oscar-winning Kevin Costner has filed the needed documents so the court can mandate his wife, Christine Baumgartner, to finally leave his home as agreed and stipulated in their prenuptial agreement.
The 68-year-old Waterworld actor revealed that after Christine filed for divorce on May 1, she was given one month to leave Kevin’s house. The 30-day grace period is one of the terms of their prenup agreement.
Radar reported the news last Tuesday and disclosed that Kevin believes that his soon-to-be ex-wife is staying put in his home as part of a more extensive agenda. The actor feels that Christine will soon have different and increased financial demands as their divorce progresses.
It is believed that the Dances with Wolves star already paid the 45-year-old Christine $1.45 million so she can secure herself a new home. Again, this is part of the terms stipulated in their prenup agreement that Christine seems to be intentionally violating.
Kevin has three children with Christine, 16-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes, and 13-year-old Grace, and the Yellowstone star explained to the court that he would be amenable to discussing and agreeing to other financial agreements outside the prenup agreement in an effort for Christine to leave his property.
As stated in the court documents, Kevin was amenable to providing his share of child support, amounting to $30,000 per month for a rental house. He is even willing to give an advance payment of $10,000 to cover the expenses of moving to a new place.
Further, in the court documents, Kevin revealed he is the solitary owner of three family houses. As part of what he and Christine signed in their prenup agreement in 2004, Christine agreed that if she and Kevin divorced, she would leave the properties and gather all her belongings.
It is known that Kevin has kept an impressive real estate portfolio, including a $145 million 10-acre beachfront complex located in Carpinteria, California. This property rests beautifully on a clifftop with a splendid view of the oceans.
Kevin’s Carpinteria compound includes a 500-foot private beach, with a recreational house perfect for a private getaway. Aside from the California land investment, Kevin has a 160-acre ranch in Aspen, Colorado, with a lake. This also includes three individual homes, 12 bedrooms and eight bathrooms, enough to accommodate 34 guests.
Kevin has turned his Aspen ranch into a money-making venture by naming it the Dunbar Ranch, and it can be rented at a whopping price of $36,000 per night.
Recall that Christine, who worked as a handbag designer and model before her marriage to the actor, filed for divorce on May 1. The two started their relationship in 1998 and exchanged “I do’s” in 2004 on one of his ranches in Colorado. They were married for 18 years.
The Bodyguard lead actor left it to his representative, Arnold Robinson, to release the official statement of his divorce, stating, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage.”
