Kim Kardashian For The First Time Talks About Her Breakup With Pete Davidson
Kim Kardashian is finally ready to talk about the end of her nine-month relationship with Pete Davidson.
The season 3 premiere of The Kardashian shows the Hulu star talking about her breakup. While speaking in her confessional, the star says, “OK, I’m single. I’m single and I’m not ready to mingle and that’s OK.” This was Kim’s reply when the producer reminded her that she was in a relationship at the end of the last season.
On the episode, the SKIMS founder sat with her sister Khloe and Scott Disick (her other sister Kourtney’s ex). When Scott asked her how she was doing after the split, Kim replied that break-ups were not her thing.
When Scott jokingly piped in if a breakup was anybody’s thing, Kim laughed and continued seriously, “It’s just I’m proud of myself. I mean, we had talks and talks and we had been talking about it. So it was just both of us communicating really well about it. It’s obviously sad.”
She talks about their relationship lasting for nine months and that she is not into random hookups. She also talks about there being a lot of guilt and the contribution of her ex-husband Kanye in the ending of her and Pete’s relationship.
Kanye went on several social media tirades about both Kim and Pete.
“There was like, a lot of guilt,” Kim said. “He went through a lot because of my relationship [with Kanye].”
In her confessional video, Kim reveals her fears of not finding someone in the future. Talking to the cameras, she says, “I go back and forth in my feelings sometimes like, ‘Uh, who’s ever gonna wanna date me? I have four kids, I’m in my 40s, you know? Like, oh my god, who’s gonna wanna deal with the drama? But my person will be like, ‘F–k all of that, it’s gonna be hard but we’re together and we’re gonna do this.’ So I’m just waiting for that person.”
Kim and Pete shared their first kiss on Saturday Night Live back in October 2021. Later when talking about the kiss, Kim talked about there being a zing, even though it was a stage kiss.
Later in November 2021, the two confirmed they were dating. They then made things official by attending the 2022 Met Gala together. Kim gushed about Pete in season 1 of The Kardashians. She talked about him being the best human being she ever met and that he had the best heart. She went on to say that he always wants the best for people and that he can handle anything and appreciated how Pete does everything with grace.
Sadly, Kim and Pete called things off in August of the same year. While neither of the parties spoke anything about the breakup, a source close to them said that they both had a lot of love and respect for each other. They also said that it was the pressure of a long-distance relationship that made maintaining a relationship very difficult.
