Kim Kardashian Says The 1969 Moon Landing Didn’t Happen
Kim Kardashian is stirring up some major debate regarding the moon landing. In the latest episode of The Kardashians on October 30), the 45-year-old reality star shared one of her most unexpected beliefs yet: she doesn’t think the 1969 moon landing really happened.
While chatting on set of her new series All’s Fair with costar Sarah Paulson, Kim tried to convince the Emmy winner to question history itself. “I’m sending you, so far, a million articles with both Buzz Aldrin and… the other one,” Kim told Sarah, referring to astronauts Aldrin and Neil Armstrong.
“Yes, do it.” Sarah replied.
Kim went on to quote a supposed clip of Aldrin discussing the lunar mission. “This girl says, ‘What was the scariest moment?’ And [Aldrin] goes, ‘There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen. It could’ve been scary, but it wasn’t, cause it didn’t happen.’”
That, Kim claimed, was the giveaway. Noting that the astronaut is now old and now slips up, she said, “So I think it didn’t happen.”
Kim later admitted in a confessional that she sends Sarah conspiracies all the time.
A producer later followed up to clarify whether she was being serious and Kim doubled down. “I don’t think we did. I think it was fake,” she said. “I’ve seen a few videos [of] Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen. He says it all the time now, in interviews.”
Then she launched into her personal “evidence”: “Why does Buzz Aldrin say it didn’t happen? There’s no gravity on the moon — why is the flag blowing? The shoes that they have in the museum that they wore on the moon [have] a different [foot]print than the photos. Why are there no stars?”
When the producer asked how she’d respond to people calling her crazy, Kim didn’t flinch. “They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what. But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself.”
Whether it’s another viral moment or a new internet obsession, Kim’s moon take proves that even half a century later, some stars still think the moon landing was out of this world, literally.
