Kourtney Kardashian Revealed Undergoing Emergency Surgery To Save Her Unborn Child
Kourtney Kardashian is beyond grateful to her medical team for saving her baby’s life. The influencer finally broke her silence after she was rushed to a hospital. Kourtney and her husband Travis Baker are having their first child together. The emergency scare prompted Travis to go home while on tour in Europe with his band.
The 44-year-old Kourtney shared on her Instagram that she was feeling better last Wednesday. She also shared a black and white photo of her and her 47-year-old husband. The two appear to be supporting each other while holding hands over a hospital bed.
Captioning the photograph, Kourtney wrote, “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband, who rushed to my side from the tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
The mother-of-three revealed that despite knowing that she her pregnancy had complications, she was still not ready for what happened all too quickly. Kourtney continued also wrote about her newfound respect for mothers fighting for their children in their wombs. She ended her post by saying, “Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
Last Friday, Travis’ band, Blink-182, announced that some European tour dates needed to be postponed because of an urgent family matter. Then news about Travis dashing home surfaced.
To provide an update, Travis took to Twitter and wrote last Wednesday, “God is great. I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well. I want to say thank you for all the support. Tour resumes Friday.”
Kourtney is now recovering at home. An insider told People that the socialite is happy to have her husband home and feels much better.
Before Kourtney’s social media post, many fans were left questioning why the couple were in the hospital. They left with Kourtney still having her baby bump, so she is still pregnant. And with the reality star not sharing her due date, people have assumed it was just a routine checkup.
Of course, it only made sense when the announcement from Blink-182 and Travis’ emergency was released. As Travis was racing home to be with his wife, his ex-wife Shanna Moakler shared that she and her children with Travis are safe and sound to avoid any confusion or unnecessary worry.
Shanna and Travis have two children together, 19-year-old Landon and 17-year-old Alabama. Travis also played a significant role in raising Shanna’s 24-year-old daughter, Atiana, whom she shared with her former partner, boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
Meanwhile, Kourtney already has three children, 13-year-old Mason, 11-year-old Penelope, and 8-year-old Reign. She shares them with her ex-partner Scott Disick, whom she dated on and off for almost a decade.
