Kris Jenner Is Firm That Scott Disick Is Never To Be Excommunicated From The Kardashian Clan
Kris Jenner has spoken in response to a news article that claimed Scott Disick, Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, had been excommunicated from the family. These allegations came to rise after Kourtney Kardashian tied the knot with Travis Barker.
Kardashian’s matriarch was quick to defend Scott Disick, stating that he was not and will never be excluded by her family.
The assertion was posted on the Instagram page of Paper Magazine last Saturday, and Jenner, 68, clarified, “Scott will never be excommunicated from our family. He’s the father of my grandchildren and a special part of our family. We love him, and it’s not true!”
Scott and Kourtney spent almost a decade together, dating on and off from 2006 until 2015. They are co-parenting their children Mason, 12, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 7.
According to reports, Scott was extremely close to the Kardashians, particularly with Kourtney’s equally renowned sisters, but has started distancing himself to forge a relationship with now brother-in-law and Kourtney’s husband, Travis. It is believed that Scott needs to regroup his relationships now.
Furthermore, one source mentioned, “Ever since Kourtney got married, he (Scott) doesn’t spend as much time with that whole group. He’s been kind of excommunicated because the priority is Travis.”
But an insider supports Kris’ statement, stating that despite the family distancing themselves from Scott, he is still with the family in their new Hulu show.
During the first season of The Kardashians, the family threw a barbecue to celebrate the engagement of Travis and Kourtney, and Scott, unfortunately, was not invited.
This hurt Scott’s feelings, as he used to be part of all Kardashian events. Scott expressed his disappointment, saying, “Feeling left out and not being told anything is super hurtful, especially when I don’t have another family to go to.”
Scott acknowledges that moving on from Kourtney romantically was probably one of the most difficult things he had to do in his life. He also mentioned that Kourtney’s attitude toward him is understandable, given the appalling way he treated the socialite and mother of his kids.
However, Scott appears to have gained support after Kim Kardashian noted that it would be tough for her family psychologically to merely exclude Scott from family gatherings. Scott has always been afraid of being left out and excluded because he only considers the Kardashian family as his own.
Kourtney, however, stood her ground, stating “Scott and I have been broken up for seven years, and I gave him ten years before that. So why is everyone making such a big deal about this? Let’s just not hate on a girl who finally knows what she deserves.”
The then relationship between Scott and Kourtney had been plagued with his infidelity, fear of commitment, and alcohol abuse. They had been dating on and off, with Kourtney trying to survive their turbulent relationship. The couple finally split up in 2015, but they were still amicable, giving fans hope that they might reconcile in the future.
After the breakup, Scott became romantically involved with much younger women, including Sofia Richie and Amelia Hamlin, while Kourtney finally tied the knot with Travis Barker last May in Italy with the whole Kardashian clan.
