Kyle Richards Denies Rumors of Using Weight-Loss Drug, Ozempic, Wonders Why Castmate Erika Doesn’t Face Same Scrutiny
Kyle Richards has once again dismissed allegations that she has ever used the injectable weight-loss drug Ozempic. Despite her significant physical transformation over the past year, the last remaining original star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills vehemently denied the claims in an interview with Page Six on Tuesday.
“I can say that I have never tried it and I have never taken it,” Richards firmly stated. “I’m not on any weight-loss drug. If you know me, you know I have terrible anxiety, so that would scare me to death. I have never, ever taken it.”
Defying the rumors, Kyle confidently showcased her shrinking 5ft2in figure at her annual White Party held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday. She dazzled attendees in a plunging white-fringed PatBO frock, capturing everyone’s attention.
Kyle’s incredible physical transformation began when she underwent breast reduction surgery in May 2022. By July 15, she made a conscious decision to quit alcohol, sugar, and carbs. Additionally, she embarked on an intense workout regimen, dedicating two hours a day to training with her fitness coach, Cory Gregory.
While the reality star shut down rumors of her use of Ozempic, she did not bother to do much to protect her RHOBH castmate Erika “Jayne” Girardi when her name was brought into the conversation. When questioned about Erika’s potential use of Ozempic, Richards admitted uncertainty but acknowledged Girardi’s noticeable weight loss. “I’m wondering why people don’t talk about her enough. I’m like, ‘Why are people talking about me?’ I’m so confused because she’s really lost a lot of weight,” she remarked.
The Hollywood-born socialite was introduced to Gregory by country singer Morgan Wade. Speaking to Page Six, Wade remarked, “[Kyle] is super strong, and she’s dealing with all those people saying she’s on that weight-loss drug, but she’s in such good shape and she works out all the time.”
Despite the ongoing scrutiny, Kyle remains focused on her busy schedule. On Tuesday morning, she joined her former RHOBH castmate Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave for an invigorating hike in the hills. Additionally, she is currently filming the 13th season of the reality series, in which she appears with Erika, Sutton Stracke, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Crystal Kung Minkoff, and newcomer Annemarie Wiley.
Furthermore, the 54-year-old is preparing to take on a new role in the upcoming LGBTQ holiday romance film, The Holiday Exchange, directed by Jake Helgren. She will portray the lively and involved mother Lola to Wilde, played by Taylor Frey, in what promises to be an exciting project for the reality TV star turned actress.
