Kylie Minogue Wants People To Stop Talking About Split With Paul Solomons
In a recent interview with Vogue Magazine, 80s singer Kylie Minogue told the publication that she wants people to stop asking about her love life, specifically her split with 5-year partner Paul Solomons.
During the conversation, she said that the interest surrounding her personal life is due to people’s love for gossip. “There’s a level of acceptance that that’s the way it is, and I think mostly it’s driven by, we all love a bit of gossip,” she shared.
After spending five years with her beau, the two decided to part ways because of struggles to make their long-distance relationship work. Kylie chose to go back to her home country Australia while Paul remained in the UK. With an 11-hour flight between them, a source revealed to The Sun, “Kylie and Paul really tried to make things work but ultimately the time difference was a killer.”
Aside from Paul posting a cryptic love emoji in a social media post, the pair have been silent about their break-up. Neither they nor their representatives have released any statements to the public about their separation.
What we do know is that Kylie is preparing to head back to the US for her Las Vegas residency which is set to begin next month. When the “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” hitmaker was asked to describe her life now, she shared that it is “pretty go, go, go, it’s just extra at the minute.”
The songstress was most likely referring to the public backlash over her wardrobe during her performances. The 55-year-old has since responded with a vow that she will never tone down the racy outfits she wears despite people describing them as inappropriate.
This year, Kylie’s track “Padam Padam” was hailed as the song of the summer. Aside from her music, she became the talk of the town with the PVC thigh boots and red catsuit she wore in the music video.
During her interview with The Sun, the award-winning artist revealed, “I’m not going down to Tesco’s in thigh boots and a catsuit, but in Popland, that is me.”
Discussing her decision to wear the outfit, the highest-selling female Australian artist admitted that she was pushing herself to explore and step out of her comfort zone. She also acknowledged that her risqué outfit was daring.
Kylie further revealed that when the idea was proposed to her, she was taken aback. But after some thought, she considered wearing it.
She also shared that she doesn’t want to worry about being sexy. Her fans are celebrating Kylie’s newfound confidence and success following her achievement as the first woman to be playlisted by Radio 1. This followed after her song steadily climbed the charts and became viral across social media platforms.
Recall that Kylie’s last music hit was “All The Lovers,” which was released over a decade ago in 2010. During that year, her song ranked eighth in the music charts.
