Leslie Fhima Opens Up About Uncomfortable Feeling At Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist’s Wedding
In a touching moment at Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s wedding, Leslie Fhima, the Golden Bachelor runner-up, felt mixed emotions as Costa Rica, the place where her relationship with Gerry ended, was brought up during the ceremony. Leslie, a 65-year-old fitness instructor, revealed her feelings on the Almost Famous podcast.
“It was a little uncomfortable during the ceremony when they were talking about Costa Rica because I was there too,” Leslie confessed. However, her discomfort was short-lived as she added, “It was probably the only time it was really uncomfortable for me, and seeing Theresa so happy really, kind of, just took that away anyhow.”
During his vows, Gerry, 72, expressed, “From the first sip of chocolate shake to the last taste of Costa Rican coffee, I learned that you are the woman I can’t live without.”
Leslie, on the other hand, reminisced about her experience during After the Final Rose, where she felt “blindsided” by the breakup with Gerry in the tropical locale.
“I was 100% certain that I was his girl. And things he said to me on our overnight and meeting his family, I mean, they didn’t show everything, but we had such a good time,” she recounted.
She later told Turner, “Because of your integrity, your words meant so much to me. I didn’t take them for granted, I took them and put them in my heart. Everybody knows what was said on camera, but only you and I know what was said on the overnight. And I would never share that with anyone. It’s our private time. But those words gave me 100% certainty that I was your girl, and we were going to get engaged.”
The wedding came after Leslie’s recent hospitalization. On her Instagram Story, she expressed her gratitude for the support she received during her hospital stay.
“Hey guys, happy new year! I just want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all your kind and encouraging words while I was in the hospital and then when I got home, and now I’m definitely on the mend,” she wrote.
“I’m feeling so much better that now I get to go to the wedding, and I can’t wait to support Gerry and Teresa on their beautiful day, and I know it’s going to be really, really amazing. Bye!” she added.
