Lil Baby Reveals He Lost $8 Million Gambling In One Day — And How He Stopped for Good

Lil Baby is getting real about one of the biggest losses of his life — and no, it’s not a rap battle. The Band4Band rapper recently opened up on Lil Yachty’s podcast, A Safe Place, about losing an eye-watering $8 million to $9 million in just one day at a casino.
During the candid chat on the December 18 episode, the 30-year-old rapper admitted that the massive loss came after he spent nearly “40 hours straight” gambling. “I lost like $8 million, $9 million,” Lil Baby confessed to Lil Yachty, 27.
But that jaw-dropping loss turned out to be a wake-up call. “I made myself stop gambling,” Lil Baby shared.
“I had [Fanatics CEO] Mike Rubin write a letter to every casino and ban me from the casino. Because I’ll just do s—,” he added.
The rapper doubled down on his decision to quit gambling altogether, saying, “I don’t gamble no more.”
The revelation caught the attention of none other than 50 Cent, who didn’t hesitate to chime in. Sharing a clip from the podcast on Instagram on December 22, the Candy Shop rapper reacted with his signature humor.
“I thought only Floyd do s— like that. LOL come out the joint looking distraught. I’m just glad he didn’t kill nobody,” wrote 50 Cent, 49.
Despite the casino chaos, Lil Baby has kept his focus sharp on his music. Just this week, he announced his highly anticipated fourth solo album, WHAM (Who Hard as Me), set to drop on January 3. The 15-track project is packed with heavyweight collaborations, including Future, Young Thug, GloRilla, Rod Wave, Rylo Rodriguez, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage.
Fans also recently got a taste of Lil Baby and Lil Yachty’s musical chemistry with their latest collaboration, F— the Fame, featuring Rod Wave from his album Last Lap.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent is preparing for an exciting chapter himself. The Power star is set to kick off his first-ever Las Vegas residency, 50 Cent: In Da Club. With six scheduled performances at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, including a New Year’s Eve show, 50 promised his fans an unforgettable experience, saying, “I always bring the energy, and Las Vegas is the perfect spot to create an unforgettable experience for my fans.”
