Lukas Gage Apologizes For Wasting Shania Twain’s Time After Marriage To Chris Appleton Failed
Lukas Gage, the rising star from The White Lotus, recently opened up about his short-lived marriage to Chris Appleton, celebrity hairstylist famously known for glamming up Kim Kardashian. During his appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Lukas spilled the beans on why their wedding became a tabloid spectacle.
One of the questionable decisions that caught attention was their choice of attire – fur coats. Lukas, 28, didn’t shy away from admitting that it was a bad idea. “I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time,” he confessed. He even joked about the matter, acknowledging how asking her to sing You’re Still the One at their wedding was quite a stretch, considering their marriage lasted a mere six months.
“I mean … ‘We’re still holding on….you’re still the one’ after three weeks? That was unhinged. That was like, the biggest waste of her time,” he said, adding, “I love you Shania, I’m really sorry about that.”
Shania, the iconic country singer, took it in good humor, tweeting a playful response that read, “If you’re not in it for love, I’m outta here! 😂😘.”
But the apology train didn’t stop there. Lukas also directed a heartfelt sorry towards Kim Kardashian, who played a pivotal role in their wedding arrangements.
“Look, Kim’s great. She was really sweet to fly us all out and take care of us and pay for everything. Sorry to Kim and Shania… so sorry,” he said.
In a moment of realization, Lukas learned that their chosen wedding song had an eerie resemblance to another couple’s failed marriage. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, known figures in the reality TV sphere, had chosen the same song for their wedding. Coincidence? Lukas found it both uncanny and amusing.
Reflecting on his whirlwind romance, Lukas admitted to having had a “manic episode” during those six months. Despite the short-lived union, he denied any infidelity rumors and chalked it up to a lesson learned the hard way.
In his words, “I had a manic episode for six months. I don’t know literally what went through my head. But we live and we learn.”
