Margot Robbie is Living the Pink Life in New Photos from the Set of Barbie
New photos were captured during filming for the Barbie movie, and the costumes are living up to everyone’s expectations. Sporting starry hot pink bell bottoms, a hot pink vest, and a matching ascot, Margot Robbie looks as though she just walked directly out of Barbie’s dreamhouse. The creators of this film seem to be working to maintain the accuracy of Barbie’s signature color and fashion sense.
Ryan Gosling, who plays the famous Ken, was also shown standing next to Margot Robbie as they chatted during their breaks.

Ryan Gosling is shown wearing a similar western theme as Robbie, with a matching white cowboy hat, hot pink ascot, and white fringe lining a black button down. The two look like quite the matching duo, since they also both have the same shade of platinum-blonde hair.
This is not Margot Robbie’s first role as an empowering female force. She recently starred in Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn as Harley Quinn, who gained her independence from the Joker after a messy breakup. Margot Robbie is getting the chance to show Barbie in a positive light, one that showcases the ups and downs of self-discovery.
Greta Gerwig, known for her work with Lady Bird, will be directing this film. She also co-wrote the screenplay beside Noah Baumbach, writer of the Oscar-winning movie Marriage Story.
Starring alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in roles that have yet to be announced will be Emma Mackey, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, and Kate McKinnon.
Although we don’t really know exactly what this movie is going to be about, everyone involved has simply told us that it won’t be what we are expecting. Since Greta Gerwig is known for her dry humor in her comedy drama films, we can only imagine the unique take being created.
Barbie is set to release sometime in July of 2023.
