Martha Stewart Defies Age Critics In Stunning Fashion Statement
Martha Stewart, the iconic lifestyle guru at the age of 82, has once again proven that age is just a number. She made a bold and fashionable statement at the Fashion Group International Night of Stars gala in New York City, and it was nothing short of fabulous.
In a candid interview with The New York Post’s Page Six, Martha responded to questions about “dressing for one’s age” with her signature humor and confidence. She exclaimed, “Dressing for whose age?” and continued to explain, “I’ve dressed the same since I was 17. If you look at my pictures on my Instagram, I look pretty much the same.”
Explaining her style, the businesswoman proclaimed, “I don’t think about age. I think people are more and more fabulous than they’ve ever been in their senior years, and I applaud every one of them.”
For the star-studded gala, Martha chose to wear a stunning white sequin bouclé suit. The outfit featured a chic boxy blazer adorned with a delicate flower appliqué on the shoulder and a wide-leg jumpsuit that exuded timeless elegance.
Completing her ensemble were metallic peep-toe shoes that added a touch of glamor, dramatic hanging earrings that sparkled in the night, and a tasteful tan bag that perfectly complemented her attire.
Marthat’s dazzling two-piece outfit was crafted by the renowned designer Dennis Basso, who was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event, presented by none other than Martha herself.
Taking to Instagram, Martha expressed her delight at being part of the gala, saying, “I was asked by the inimitable @dennisbasso to present him with the first award of the night. He has had a storied career dressing the fanciest of ladies, including movie stars and First Ladies, as well as millions of others who were able to purchase his designs on @qvc for the past 30 years!”
This isn’t the first time Martha has made headlines for her age-defying confidence and style. Earlier this year, she graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, alongside other celebrities like Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, she humorously remarked, “It should have been 30 years ago.” She added, “That would have been great. It was not a goal I set for myself, but once asked, I thought to myself, let’s do it!”
For her, the swimsuit spread held special significance, and she saw it as a powerful message for women of all ages.
