Megan is no stranger to finding herself in the middle of an internet-breaking saga and scandals. The Houston rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, found herself in the middle of a massive saga that rocked the music industry. Just months after releasing her first number 1 hit, she was shot in the foot by fellow rapper Tory Lanez.
According to Megan, she and Tory were leaving a Hollywood Hills house party in July 2020 when the shooting incident happened. She said she and Tory had been in an argument about their careers and relationship before the Canadian-born rapper shot her in the feet.
Tory denied the accusation while insisting that he wasn’t the one who shot Megan. However, a court convicted him of the shooting, and he was subsequently sentenced to 10 years in prison last August.
