Meghan Trainor Gears Up For Timeless Tour: “I’m Feeling Fit”
Meghan Trainor is ready to hit the road again with her upcoming Timeless Tour, marking her return to the stage after seven years. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at Audacy’s Leading Ladies event, the chart-topping pop sensation shared her excitement for the tour and her dedication to being in top shape.
The Grammy-winning artist, known for hits like All About That Bass, revealed that her newfound focus on fitness is in preparation for the demanding tour schedule. With a new single featuring T-Pain and an album set to drop on her husband Daryl Sabara’s birthday, Meghan is pulling out all the stops.
“I’m feeling fit. I’ve never been so fit,” she exclaimed, emphasizing her commitment to training and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. With her family’s support, including her husband and two young sons, Meghan is determined to give her all on stage without feeling winded.
“I already told my household. I was like, ‘I am training for the Olympics, OK?’ I want to train and eat clean, and feel good when I’m dancing and singing. I don’t wanna be so winded, because right now, I’m winded,” she shared.
The Dear Future Husband hitmaker, who tied the knot with Daryl in 2018, humorously declared her intention to treat her tour preparations like training for the Olympics. She even joked about being “busy” on her husband’s birthday, hinting at promotional duties for her album release.
Despite the busy schedule, Meghan assured fans that Daryl understands her dedication to her career. The couple, already parents to two children, playfully discussed their plans to expand their family further.
As Meghan gears up for her Timeless Tour, set to kick off in September with special guests including Natasha Bedingfield and her brother Ryan Trainor, she promises an electrifying experience for fans. With hits from her previous albums and new tracks from Timeless, she guarantees a show filled with pop bangers and unforgettable moments.
“We’re going to play the hits and we’re going to splash in this new album and splash in all of the [previous] albums. I got five now!” she shared.
