Miley Cyrus Drops First Song From New Album “Something Beautiful”

Miley Cyrus is back with a bang, and this time, she’s inviting fans on a hauntingly beautiful journey. The pop star just dropped the first taste of her upcoming visual album, Something Beautiful, and it’s a mesmerizing mix of eerie vibes and poetic storytelling.
In the intro track, Miley’s voice flows over a mysterious, dreamlike production as she delivers haunting spoken words: “Like walking alone through a lucid dream / Like saying your name aloud in an empty room / Like witnessing my body standing in a mirror / Aching to be seen, aching to become real / But the beauty one finds alone / Is a prayer that longs to be shared.”
The visuals are just as striking. Dressed in archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture, Miley looks ethereal — it’s the same iconic outfit featured on the album’s cover art. She directed the video herself, teaming up with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, while the talented Benoît Debie handled cinematography. The result is a bold, otherworldly experience, setting the tone for the 13 original songs Miley co-produced with Shawn Everett.
The release follows the critical acclaim Miley received for her album Endless Summer Vacation. She snagged her first Grammy in 2024 for Best Pop Solo Performance with her hit Flowers and then added a second Grammy in 2025, winning Best Country Duo/Group Performance alongside Beyoncé.
But Miley’s been doing more than just collecting awards. She recently opened up about one of her most talked-about moments — her 2009 Teen Choice Awards performance of Party in the U.S.A. The infamous performance had Miley dancing on stage with a pole attached to an ice cream cart, and it stirred up quite the controversy back then.
On Spotify’s Billions Club series, Miley chatted with her sister Brandi Cyrus about the performance. She asked Brandi, “Do you know whose idea that was?”
Brandi guessed their mom, Tish Cyrus, and Miley confirmed it: “Yup, that was my mom’s idea. So she always lets me take the blame.” Miley then joked, “When I got in trouble the next day, you know who was nowhere to be found? Tish Cyrus.”
