Miley Cyrus’ Mom Tish Cyrus Is Engaged to Prison Break Star Dominic Purcell
On April 29, Tish Cyrus, mother of Miley and Noah Cyrus, announced her engagement to British-Australian actor Dominic Purcell on Instagram.
She posted two photos of the two — in one the couple is seen embracing each other, and the second is a close-up of her emerald-cut diamond engagement ring. She captioned the post, “A thousand times…. YES ❤️ @dominicpurcell.”
Just a few days earlier, Purcell shared a photo of the two on Instagram and gave a shout-out to Cyrus. He wrote, “Punching way above my weight – yep absolutely, I’m a lucky bastard. She’s the best human ever. Love ya love.”
This will be Cyrus’ third marriage. She was first married to Baxter Neal Helson from 1986 to 1989, with whom she has two children — Brandi, 35, and Trace, 34.
Four years after her split from Helson, Cyrus married Billy Ray Cyrus in 1993. Along with Miley, 30, and Noah, 23, the couple also have a son, Braison, 28. Billy also adopted Brandi and Trace, making them a family of 7.
Purcell, who is best known for his roles in “Prison Break,” “Equilibrium,” and “Assault on Wall Street,” is a dad of four. He has Joseph, 23, Audrey, 22, and 19-year-old twins Lily-Rose and Augustus with his ex-wife Rebecca Williamson.
And two of his kids, Audrey and Lily-Rose, have shared their excitement about his engagement on Instagram.
Audrey wrote, “Congratulations to my Dad and @tishcyrus. Thank you for being such a wonderful couple of love. I love you both so much forever!” And Lilly-Rose chimed in with a “Yessssssss,” followed by several emojis!
Tish and Dominic made their relationship official on Instagram in November 2022 when they posted a pic of themselves embracing each other by the pool.
Tish was not shy about her relationship, and in December, she posted, “Headed into the New Year HAPPY @dominicpurcellWishing everyone a safe and magical New Year’s Eve!”
The couple even spent some time together with her family over the last few months. In January, Tish posted a photo of the two at a Los Angeles hotel with family and friends, including Miley and Brandi.
In February, a source told US Weekly, that things were going better for Tish and Dominic and that Tish felt like she found her soulmate. The following month saw the couple attending Miley’s Endless Summer Vacation album release party.
The news of the couple’s romance comes shortly after Tish’s ex Billy announced his engagement to Australian singer Firerose. The two singers collaborated on the song “New Day” and have been rumored to be engaged since September 2022, to which the couple confirmed that they were engaged in November.
While Billy did not give Firerose a ring or a formal proposal, he told her that he loved her and wanted to be with her forever. He popped the question, “Do you, do you wanna marry me?” and the couple were officially engaged.
