Nick Cannon Spends Most Of His Time With 8-Months-Old Daughter Onyx, Among All His 12 Children
Parents always aim to provide equal time and affection to all their children, but this may be somewhat challenging if you have a dozen kids with different baby mamas.
This is the dilemma of the father of twelve, Nick Cannon, who recently shared how he ensures that he spends time with all his children. The 42-year-old actor, who also sheepishly admitted to mixing up the Mother’s Day cards for the six women he shared a child or children with, revealed that he is currently spending the most time with Onyx, his eight-month-old daughter.
During his Jason Lee podcast interview, the comedian shared that the primary reason he has more time with Onyx is because of his better co-parenting relationship with the baby’s mother, 41-year-old LaNisha Cole.
Nick shared, “But you know, LaNisha and I have a super strong understanding, and our co-parenting operation is solid.”
According to the Misfits actor, he can spend time with Onyx at least three times a week for a full day. He cited the example that if someone saw Nick on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, they’d be sure to see Onyx next to him, and it didn’t matter if he was on set.
Nick further explained during the interview that he had set up a nursery there in his office, making it easier for him to spend time with his children—or at least with Onyx. He even admitted that he could literally live in his office if that meant getting to spend more time with her daughter.
Recall that Nick had his share of controversy and criticism after fathering so many children with different women. The Emmy nominee has what people refer to now as a modern family.
Nick has children with six different women: Mariah Carey, LaNisha Cole, Brittany Bell, Bre Tiesi, Alyssa Scott, and Abby de la Rosa.
With Mariah Carey, he shares 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe or Roc and Roe. He recently threw a birthday bash for the twins at Magic Mountain.
Nick then shares three children with Brittany Bell, a former dancer for the Phoenix Suns. Together, they have a 6-year-old son named Golden, a 2-year-old daughter named Powerful, and a seven-month-old son named Rise.
Then there are three more kids with Abby De La Rosa, who worked as Nick’s co-host on Nick’s The Daily Cannon podcast. With Abby, Nick fathered another set of twins, 23-month-old Zillion and Zion, and five-month-old daughter Beautiful.
Nick also has a nine-month-old son named Legendary with 32-year-old Bre Tiesi, one of the cast members of Selling Sunset.
With model Alyssa Scott, Nick also shares a five-month-old daughter, Halo. This is after the pair lost their first child, a son named Zen, who died of brain cancer in December 2021. The child was five months old when he passed.
Justifying his time management strategy with his children, Nick stated that as much as he wanted to spend time with them equally, too many elements needed to be weighed in, including some of the children being in school and others being just too young.
