Not Dating! Insider Shares What Tom Cruise And Ana De Armas Are Really Doing Together

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have been spending time together, but it’s all business, not romance. Despite recent sightings of the two stars together, a PEOPLE source confirms they’re simply working on a new project.
The pair were spotted arriving at the London Heliport on March 14, stepping off a helicopter alongside director Doug Liman. While details about their project remain under wraps, insiders say it’s strictly professional.
This isn’t the first time they’ve been seen together in London. A month earlier, on February 13, Tom and Ana were photographed enjoying a night out. However, sources quickly shut down dating rumors, revealing they were dining with their agents and discussing possible collaborations.
As an insider told PEOPLE, the two “appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends” and were only at dinner “discussing potential collaborations down the line.”
Tom, 62, has been busy with his upcoming blockbuster, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, set to hit theaters on May 23. Meanwhile, Ana, 36, is preparing for her lead role in Ballerina, a John Wick spinoff, premiering on June 6.
In addition to his current projects, Tom is set to star in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s highly anticipated 2026 film. The movie, still untitled, will center around “the most powerful man in the world” who must prove he is humanity’s last hope before a disaster of his own making destroys everything.
Fans are also eager to see whether Tom’s long-rumored space movie will take off. Nearly five years ago, he and Doug teased an ambitious project that would film real scenes in outer space, in partnership with NASA and SpaceX. Universal Pictures executive Donna Langley later confirmed the plan, saying Tom would not only shoot in space but also attempt a spacewalk outside the International Space Station.
Though the project has yet to launch, Tom reassured fans in 2023 that it’s still in development. “We’ve been working on it diligently,” he said in an interview with Variety. “We’ll see where we go.”
