Oliver Hudson Admits To Cheating On Wife Erinn Bartlett Before Wedding

Oliver Hudson has recently shared candid insights into the early days of his marriage with wife Erinn Bartlett. In a heartfelt conversation on the Sibling Revelry podcast hosted by Oliver and his sister Kate Hudson, the 47-year-old actor revealed some intimate details about his past.

During the podcast episode featuring guest Robyn Lively, Oliver revealed that he had been unfaithful to Erinn before they tied the knot in 2006. He admitted to experiencing a tumultuous period, characterized by infidelity and emotional turmoil.

Reflecting on his actions, Oliver admitted, “When I got engaged, something happened psychologically, and I spiraled, and I was unfaithful, and I was cheating, and I was crazy.” Despite never getting caught, he chose to come clean to Erinn, recognizing the importance of honesty in their relationship.

“I never got caught. I told her everything because I couldn’t live with myself and get married and be married and have children with this sort of weight,” he revealed.

Acknowledging the support he received, Oliver praised Erinn as an “amazing woman” and credited his mother for playing a significant role in their journey towards reconciliation. He emphasized the need to view relationships in their entirety, considering all aspects rather than dwelling solely on mistakes.

In his words, “Where it’s about looking at the entirety and the totality of the relationship, not just the action. Even though it might seem extreme, let’s dig in a little bit into why and looking at the whole person rather than this one affliction.”

Expressing his growth through therapy and introspection, the Cleaning Lady star affirmed his belief in his inherent goodness, stating, “I was going through whatever I was going through, and we were able to sort of therapy and do all of it and get through it.”

Recognizing that every choice, whether positive or negative, has shaped his identity, Oliver stated, “And honestly, if that didn’t happen I don’t know what kind of a person I would be. So do I regret it? I mean no, I guess not. I regret causing pain. I don’t want to cause anyone any pain.”

Despite acknowledging the pain caused, he expressed uncertainty about who he would be without those experiences.

Going on about regret, the actor said, “Regret is an interesting word. I’m not sure I have many regrets because if I didn’t, it was a choice that I made, whether it was a positive one or a negative one. I’ve made some horrible, horrible choices in my life just generally. You would think I regret doing that, but I don’t know who I would be if I didn’t make that choice.”

Oliver and Erinn’s relationship, which began with their engagement in 2004, has since endured challenges and flourished into a family of five. They share three children together: Wilder Brooks, Bodhi Hawn, and Rio Laura.
