Pharrell Williams Celebrates 50th Birthday and Fans Can’t Believe His Ageless Appearance
Fans of Pharrell Williams took to social media to express their disbelief as the Hip Hop star celebrated his 50th birthday on Wednesday. Known for his songwriting and production duo, The Neptunes, and his successful solo career, Pharrell seems to have discovered a stay-young-forever potion, as he looks exactly the same as he did in his 30s.
Twitter users couldn’t help but marvel at the Happy star’s ageless looks and urged him to reveal his skincare routine and secrets. One fan wrote, “Ain’t no way Pharrell Williams is 50? This n**** has found the fountain of youth,” while another fan shared, “Pharrell Williams the writer of the song Happy is 50 years old. No he is not. But yes he is.”
“How is it possible I appear older than Pharrell Williams who is literally 50 years old?” another fan wondered.
Pharrell was born on April 5, 1973, and formed The Neptunes alongside Chad Hugo in the early 1990s. The duo worked with famous artists such as Jay-Z, Nelly, and Britney Spears before forming the band N.E.R.D. in 1999.
Pharrell also enjoyed a successful solo career, working on film scores for Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 in 2010 and 2013, respectively. His song Happy from the film series also had great commercial success as it became the final UK number one single of 2013 that December. Same year, the singer also released Get Lucky, a collaboration with Daft Punk and Lose Yourself to Dance.
In addition to his music career, Pharrell has also made headway in the fashion scene as he is a style icon. He recently added another clothing line to his lengthy resume when Louis Vuitton named him the new Men’s Creative Director. With this position, he assumed the role previously held by Virgil Abloh, who made history as Louis Vuitton’s first black artistic director. Fans look forward to seeing his first Vuitton collection in June during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
The 50-year-old singer already has a solid fashion resume, having launched the streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club and the skateboarding-inspired shoe brand, Ice Cream, in the early 2000s. He also collaborated with Diesel, Chanel, Moncler, and Adidas.
Despite his lengthy career and many accomplishments, fans are still in awe of his ageless appearance. As one fan put it, “Pharrell Williams does not age one bit. More like a vampire.”
