Possible U-Turn On Retirement: Tom Brady Saying Hello Again To Football
Scott Zolak, a former NFL quarterback, has much to say about Tom Brady and his recent decision to retire from football. The athlete insisted that there is a high possibility that Tom Brady will retract his retirement again, given that playing for the Miami Dolphins is not entirely off the table.
This is despite Tom being keen on keeping his word and stating that he would not do a second retirement U-turn. The 45-year-old Tom thought to shut down this allegation during this talk with Rich Eisen, the NFL Network anchor.
Despite Tom’s insistence and twice refuting the claim, Scott, currently the Patriot’s radio broadcaster, doesn’t believe Tom is determined to retire this time. Scott even boldly claimed that Tom is coming out of retirement and emphasized that this is the second time it will happen and that his playing for Miami is still a huge possibility.
During Scott’s stint on NBC Sports Boston, he said, “Brady may go to Miami. I think that’s in play. I do. I think the possibility of him coming out of retirement is definitely 100 percent in play. You can sit there and look at the kitten tweet from [Tuesday.] Don’t buy that.”
Scott was referring to the kitten tweet that seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady shared. Brady had mentioned that his 10-year-old daughter Vivian’s new pet kitten was taking up too much of his time for him to consider going back to the field. In his tweet, Brady wrote, “Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2-month-old kitten for their daughter.”
Recall that last month, Vivian hacked her father’s Instagram account and shared several pictures of their newly adopted Siamese kittens.
The former quarterback and NFL star, who shares two children, Vivian and Benjamin, with ex-wife and supermodel Gisele Bündchen, shared that he opened his home to several kittens last February.
The three-time NFL MVP shared an Instagram post, “Vivi wins again!” This was accompanied by a video of the playful kittens. He further wrote, “Thanks, @loganryan and @coolmbreezy, this is what my mornings are like now. @humansocietytampa, they are in good, loving hands.”
Tom officially retired—for the second time—from the NFL last February. He announced his decision in an emotional video. And his previous season in the NFL was not the most glorious in his career, as the Buccaneers failed to make it to the finals.
At the same time, Tom had to deal with personal challenges, with his divorce from his wife topping last year’s struggles.
It has been widely reported that Tom will switch from the field to the broadcast booth with FOX Sports in 2024. This contract is valid for ten years and is worth $375 million.
Rumors about this news pointed out that Tom won’t be starting until 2024 with Fox, and according to Tom, he needs time to decompress from the sport, but Radar claims that Tom needs almost an entire year off because he wants Gisele back.
An insider from Radar revealed, “The biggest obstacle between them was Gisele’s complaints about Tom putting football before family, so he decided to show her he’s willing to focus on them before taking the job at FOX.” Furthermore, the insider mentioned, “His only goal right now is to get his family back.”
