Recovering Jeremy Renner Makes His First Red-Carpet Appearance With His Daughter After A Near-Fatal New Year Accident
Many were happy to see Jeremy Renner during the premiere of his new show with Disney+, Rennervations, in Los Angeles last Tuesday.
This was the actor’s first red carpet appearance after he was almost crushed to death last New Year at his Lake Tahoe property, where his 14,000-pound snow plow crushed him. The accident caused the Hawkeye actor to suffer from almost 30 broken bones.
Jeremy was accompanied by her beautiful 10-year-old daughter Ava for the premiere night. The actor has been providing updates about his rehabilitation and recovery on his Instagram, and everyone knows there’s still so much work for him.
During the premiere, Jeremy was supported by a cane, which he held in one hand while holding his daughter with the other.
The actor has always been honest about how painful his recovery journey has been, but he looked good in his navy-blue suit during the gathering. He was greeted and welcomed by a plethora of friends and family members, who were all there to celebrate and support his new project.
His 10-year-old daughter, Ava, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco, matched Jeremy by wearing a pretty dress of the same navy-blue shade and pairing it with strappy silver sandals.
As a way to reassure the crowd, Jeremy, at one point, was seen grinning with a thumbs-up sign to the media while making his way to the carpet with a scooter.
During a quick talk with People, Jeremy said, “I’m overflowing with gratitude and excitement unlike [anything] I’ve felt in a very, very long time, you know?”
He continued, “Because it’s not a movie that I’m promoting, it’s not a show, it’s my, it’s my life, man, this is what I do.”
He also revealed that the premiere was the first time he’d been out of bed and away from rehabilitation.
Quite not believing where he was, Jeremy mentioned, “It’s intense, you know, for me, it’s a lot, but it’s a step in the direction I want to be going, right? And this is exactly what I want to be doing and where I want my life to be right now.”
Jeremy also revealed that his daughter played a significant role in the designs of the buses of Rennervations. And that Ava is one of the reasons why he continues to rehab and get better.
The premiere allowed Jeremy to mingle with 72-year-old Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, and close friends Rory Milliki, Patrick Costello, and film producer Romilda de Luca.
Forty-three-year-old actress Rachel Leigh Cook was also in attendance during the premiere and looked elegant and comfortable in her pink jumpsuit. She also brought along her children, Charlotte and Theodore.
Rennervations would also feature Jeremy’s Avenger co-star Anthony Mackie. Note that production for the series was already completed last year before the tragic snow plow accident. The docuseries is centered on Jeremy’s local community in Reno, Nevada.
The series showcases Jeremy who, with the help of his showbiz friends, repurposes vehicles that would eventually be used in the Reno community.
