Reneé Rapp Lights Up The Screen With Fiery New Single In Upcoming Mean Girls Movie Called ‘World Burn’
Reneé Rapp is once again taking the world by storm with her latest single, World Burn, featured in the highly anticipated Mean Girls movie musical. The 23-year-old singer, best known for her hit song Talk Too Much, reprises her iconic role as the formidable Regina George, leaving audiences spellbound with her devilish performance and powerful vocals.
Reneé originally introduced World Burn during her breakout role in the 2018 Broadway show, where she first portrayed the main antagonist, Regina George. Now, she breathes new life into the character, delivering a spine-chilling rendition that showcases her exceptional vocal prowess.
At the start of the song, Reneé, as Regina George, declares, “”My name is Regina George / And I am a massive deal / I will grind you to sand / Beneath my Louboutin heel.” Her syrupy yet commanding delivery sets the stage for a musical experience like no other.
The Mean Girls soundtrack, set for release on January 12 through Interscope Records, promises to be a musical masterpiece. Alongside Reneé’s enchanting performance, fans can look forward to songs from the Broadway musical performed by talented cast members, including Avantika, Angourie Rice, and Auli’i Cravalho.
Last month, Reneé joined forces with the sensational Megan Thee Stallion for the track Not My Fault, also featured on the forthcoming soundtrack. This song is a playful homage to Lindsay Lohan’s iconic line from the 2004 teen classic which goes, “It’s not my fault you’re like in love with me or something!” It takes that snarky remark and transforms it into a glittering disco-pop anthem of self-love and empowerment.
As the chorus triumphantly echoes, “It’s not my fault; you came with her, but she might leave with me. It’s not my fault; you’ve gotta pay for what I get for free. It’s not my fault; you’re like, you’re like, you’re like in love with me,” Reneé’s vocals soar.
Megan Thee Stallion, known as “the Black Regina George,” seamlessly joins the song, exuding confidence and charisma. She boldly declares, “I mean, who wouldn’t wanna be in love with me? But I been told y’all, I’m the Black Regina George / Bikini top, booty shorts, Megan-core / You was hatin’ back then, now you finna hate more / I got influence, they do anything I endorse / I run s—, to be a bad bitch is a sport.”
