Rihanna Gushes About Motherhood After Revealing Her Second Pregnancy And Vogue Cover With A$AP Rocky And Son
It’s definitely a Vogue family event as Rihanna, her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their son, posed for the magazine’s cover shoot. During the session. Rihanna couldn’t help but gush about motherhood and her relationship with her beau.
The 34-year-old Barbados singer impressed everyone with her Super Bowl halftime show and, at the same time, surprised everyone when she revealed her pregnancy by debuting her baby bump last Sunday. No performance could beat that epic pregnancy reveal, and everyone celebrated with the singer.
Following that surprise announcement, Rihanna remained the talk of the town, but this time with her little brood as she, her rapper partner, and their 9-month-old son were featured on Vogue‘s March 2023 cover.
And speaking to Vogue, RiRi described Rocky as her best friend while gushing about motherhood being her everything. The singer honestly shared that she can’t remember her life before getting pregnant and giving birth in May 2022.
And the images Vogue captured depicted what Rihanna is all about—a powerful female made stronger because of the love surrounding her. One of the photos shows the Umbrella hitmaker wearing a one-shouldered, glamorous black gown with a sexy side split while snuggling up to a shirtless Rocky.
In another photo, Rihanna screamed motherly love as she was snapped cuddling up to her infant son, whose name the parents have not revealed yet.
The cover featured a picture of Rocky planting a kiss on his son’s head while the small boy giggles and Rihanna struts in the foreground while holding hands with her partner.
According to Rihanna, motherhood is “…everything; you don’t remember life before; that’s the craziest thing ever.”
But the soon-to-be mother of two admitted that her first few months as a new mom was a rollercoaster, and giving birth was not the most pleasant experience. Until now, the singer couldn’t believe she had entered the hospital, given birth, and left the hospital with a child.
Like all mothers, Rihanna shared that raising her son is one of her current scariest responsibilities and that having him made her re-evaluate everything.
Rihanna said, “Raising a young Black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life […] ‘You’re like, ‘What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they’re gonna be living on?”
But coming to terms with being new parents became advantageous for her and Rocky, as raising a child made them closer as partners and best friends. Rihanna stated, “Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
Rihanna also confirmed that Rocky has a close relationship with their son. As of today, Rihanna is content with how her life is unfolding, and with a second baby on the way, the singer couldn’t be happier. She also appreciated how the 200 million people who watched the Super Bowl celebrated her return and made her performance even more enjoyable.
The halftime show Rihanna did was her first live performance since 2018, with the last being at the Grammy Awards, where she performed with DJ Khaled.
