Selena Gomez Seemingly Receives Support From Hailey Baldwin Bieber Amidst Online Hate
Hailey Baldwin Bieber, Justine Bieber’s wife has taken a stand against negativity and online hate. In a recent Instagram Story, the 26-year-old model pleaded with her followers to refrain from leaving mean comments on social media, seemingly in response to the negative comments directed towards Selena Gomez, Justin’s ex-girlfriend.
Hailey expressed her disapproval of hateful and nasty comments, stating that she neither supports nor condones such behavior. She emphasized that engaging in negativity goes against her values and urged her fans to be kind or refrain from commenting altogether.
“If you’re leaving mean or rude comments on my behalf on anyone’s posts just know that I don’t want that, nor do I ever or will I ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments,” she stated.
“Doing that is not supporting me. If you are participating in that you are a part of a culture that I want no part of. Please be nice or don’t say anything,” the Rhode founder further clarified.
The call for compassion from Hailey comes after some social media users took to the comments section of one of Selena’s recent Instagram posts to leave derogatory remarks. Some comments dismissed Selena as “irrelevant,” while others accused her of playing the victim.
Selena had previously shown support for Hailey in March when she revealed that Hailey had reached out to her after receiving death threats. Selena spoke out against the hate and bullying, advocating for kindness and a stop to the ongoing narrative between her and Hailey.
“This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying,” she continued. “I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this to all stop,” the Come And Get It star wrote at the time.
Grateful for Selena’s support, Hailey expressed her appreciation and acknowledged the harm caused by the excessive hate surrounding their situation. She recognized the power of social media in connecting people but stressed that instances like these only foster division instead of unity.
Hailey acknowledged the importance of thoughtful posting and encouraged everyone, including herself, to consider the impact of their words. She remained optimistic that love will prevail over hate and negativity, emphasizing the need for empathy and compassion.
“Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself. In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion,” she stated.
The ongoing tension between Hailey and Selena dates back to Hailey’s marriage to Justin in 2018, fueling rumors of a feud between the two women. However, both have repeatedly denied any animosity and have publicly expressed their mutual respect and support.
In October 2022, Hailey and Selena put the feud rumors to rest when they posed for pictures together at the 2022 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles. While this gesture aimed to debunk the notion of ongoing drama and reinforce their message of unity, the negative narrative surrounding Hailey, Selena, and Justin continues.
