Single And Stylish: Selena Gomez And Connar Franklin’s Throwback Hairdos Make Fans Swoon
The rumor mill has been in full swing lately as it relates to Selena Gomez’s love life. After a few weeks of speculation, Gomez took to Instagram to clarify that she is indeed single. Posting a scenic snap of a cloudy sky, the pop star made it clear that she isn’t dating anyone by captioning her post with “I like being alone too much #iamsingle.”
But before Gomez made the announcement, there was a lot of gossip about her relationship status. Just recently, Us Weekly reported that Gomez was casually dating The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart. It claimed that the two were trying to keep their romance “low-key” and going out on dates like bowling and to the movies.
But the relationship apparently didn’t last long, as Taggart split from EDM artist Eve Jobs, who is Steve Jobs’ youngest daughter, just last month.
In the past, Gomez has been linked to Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd, but things didn’t work out with any of them. Gomez has said that her breakup with Bieber was the “worst possible heartbreak ever,” but that it was ultimately the best thing that ever happened to her.
Meanwhile, Bieber has moved on and married Hailey Baldwin in 2018, while Gomez is focusing on her mental and physical health and her work.
As for Taggart, he appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast last week and opened up about some of his sexual escapades while on tour, claiming that he had threesomes with fans on more than one occasion. But it looks like Gomez won’t be one of them, as she’s looking forward to being single and focusing on herself.
In fact, the former Disney star and her bestie Connar Franklin took to Instagram this week to share a rare throwback photo of the dynamic duo, and their coordinated cuteness has left fans wanting more!
The two pals, who have been friends since their early teens, had matching, wispy bangs and dark tresses, and Selena even threw in some retro vibes with a car and orange and yellow sweater. In the caption to her 371 million fans, the “Rare Beauty” founder wrote, “Remember when we thought we looked SO good with short hair.”
Connar, who recently got engaged to her partner Aaron Carpenter, also chimed in with a comment, “Bahahahaha …. this was a phase for sure. also not us doing the same hair for like an entire year.”
The star’s latest Instagram post featured her Only Murders in the Building co-stars, including the legendary Meryl Streep. Selena thanked the cast for making her a “very, very grateful lady,” showing just how excited she is to be working with the Hollywood icon.
