Single Era for Taylor Swift: Spotted on Dinner Date With Friends
The Midnights singer was spotted on an intimate dinner with longtime friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff and his fiancée Margaret Qualley. The dinner date, which took place on Monday, April 10, was reported to have been blocks away from Cornelia Street.
Taylor was seen sporting high-waisted bejeweled jeans with an embroidered butterfly on the leg paired with a black top, glossy black heels, a silver mini bag, and red lipstick.
This was also the singer’s first public appearance after news of her split from longtime beau Joe Alwyn was confirmed earlier this month. The cause of this breakup seems to have been the 33-year-old singer’s fame. Being shy, Joe Alwyn didn’t like all the attention on their relationship. However, he doesn’t blame the singer for her popularity.
News of their relationship first broke on the internet in 2017. But fans speculate the couple must have met a year ago at the Met Gala after her split from Tom Hiddleston.
And while fans were hungry for more news about their relationship, the couple continued to keep it low-key and private, avoiding speaking about their relationship in public. Although Taylor did give us a glimpse into their story during the Apple Music show in December 2022, saying, “Joe and I really love sad songs. We’ve always bonded over music…We write the saddest. We just really love sad songs. What can I say?”
Their breakup was reported to have been rather quiet and amicable, with the relationship having run its course. There was no drama involved. This is also supported by the fact that neither Swift nor Alwyn has spoken anything about the breakup.

However, her recent dinner appearance seems to have shut down all rumors of a sad breakup for now. And her upbeat appearance seems to suggest the breakup might not have such a hold on the singer anymore.
At present, Swift is busy with her ongoing Eras Tour, which runs until August 9, 2023. Other than her tour performances and dinner date, Swift was also busy shooting for a music video in Liverpool during her recent week off from the Eras Tour. Although there’s no news on what the music video was for, we do know that it will also star The Kissing Booth fame, Joey King.
