Sophie Turner Partied “Without a Care in the World” Before Joe Jonas Shared News About Their Divorce

Herzon Stephenson, the bar manager who spent the night drinking with Sophie Turner, revealed that the Game of Thrones star partied “without a care in the world” days before her husband, Joe Jonas, announced that they were headed for divorce.

According to the bar manager, Sophie enjoyed cocktails and several shots at the DropShot bar in Birmingham last Saturday night. This was during the wrap party that celebrated the end of her latest project Joan on ITVX.

According to the bar manager, about 70 people were partying that night, primarily members of the production team of the TV series. He revealed that the 27-year-old actress was great company and extremely funny. He noticed how relaxed and happy Sophie was and never thought that she might be going through a divorce.

Herzon further shared that he and Sophie spent some time talking and drinking because they had a lot of things in common. The actress was from Warwickshire while he was from Coventry. As part of the same party scene, they also had plenty of common acquaintances.

He added, “We spoke about places we both used to go to, like the Smack nightclub in Leamington Spa. She remembered those days of going out, dancing, and getting drunk. We had a great laugh chatting about old times.”

The man also admitted that Sophie never spoke about Joe or her daughters. Throughout their conversations, she also never mentioned getting divorced or having any relationship woes. Herzon was thus surprised when news about the divorce came out.

Further reflecting on their interactions, the bar manager understands that Sophie’s behavior made sense. He recalled that the actress seemed to long for the old days when she would party and have fun. 

Four days after the gathering, Sophie’s husband, 34-year-old Joe, officially filed for divorce. According to divorce documents, their four-year marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

There are also speculations that Joe caught Sophie saying or doing something through their security camera, pushing Joe to decide that it was time to call it quits.

Whatever the security camera captured is still unknown, but it was the final blow to their marriage. A friend of Sophie who wishes to remain anonymous disclosed that the actress regrets not being able to continue her carefree life because she needs to be a wife and has two children at such a young age. That same friend revealed that Sophie felt trapped by marriage.

While filming her TV series, Sophie temporarily escaped her marital problems and the feelings she was harboring. News about Joe having to take care of the children while touring with The Jonas Brothers somehow revealed possible issues in the couple’s married life.

So far, Sophie and her representatives have yet to speak up and issue official statements.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner met in 2016 after exchanging several online messages with each other. Three months later, they confirmed that they were dating exclusively. In 2019, they tied the knot in an impromptu Las Vegas wedding. She gave birth to their two daughters in 2020 and 2022.
