Supermodel Lara Stone Welcomes Baby Boy After Spending Days in the ICU
Lara Stone is now officially a mother of two as she welcomed her baby boy last week. She announced the birth on July 26th, 2023, on Instagram after the little one had spent some scary time in intensive care.
The model, who is already a mom to Alfred, her 10-year-old son with ex-husband David Walliams, announced she was pregnant last May after stepping out with a floral maternity dress. Fans and followers of Lara were delighted when she shared a photo of her second son, Bob, with her second husband, David Grievson, a property developer.
She used her social media account and posted on Instagram that baby Bob was born last week and spent a terrifying few days in intensive care. She also expressed how happy they are to have the little one home with them.
The images she shared captured her and David’s hands protectively and lovingly pressed against their newborn son as he sleeps in the hospital.
The Dutch model first met David Grievson through Tinder in 2018. They confirmed and shared the news of their engagement in February 2020 after two years of exclusively dating. The happy news was shared via social media alongside a picture of a massive diamond engagement ring taken at Mayfair’s Gymkhana VIP dinner.
Grievson was Lara’s first serious relationship after her split with David Walliams. With David Walliams, the relationship was a whirlwind romance as they started dating in 2009 and were already engaged after just four months.
At one point, the Little Britain comedian was asked why they’ve decided to keep their son away from the spotlight, given that the couple both have high-profile careers.
David answered HELLO Magazine with, “I knew what I was getting into; this is what I signed up to. Making a television program, being in the spotlight is unavoidable, and if you’re a kid, it must be quite hard.”
David Walliams and Lara were married from 2010 to 2015 and are now co-parents to Alfred. Until now, the ex-couple have made it a point to protect Alfred’s privacy and would post pictures of him occasionally on social media, but his face would always be concealed.
Explaining why he and Lara decided on that, David explained that they don’t know what Alfred wants to do with his life. He and Lara are considering the possibility that Alfred will want to lead a private life in the future, and it will be to his disadvantage if he is thrown into the spotlight as early as now.
Lara, one of the most sought-after models, is best known for her blue eyes and gap-tooth smile. She is also an avid advocate of body positivity and healthy living. And breaking away from the stereotype of what a model’s body should be, Lara strongly believes in the beauty of diversity in the fashion and modeling industry.
