“Teen Mom” Alum Ryan Edwards Is Expecting A Baby With Girlfriend Amanda Conner

Ryan Edwards is about to step into fatherhood once again! The 36-year-old Teen Mom alum is expecting his first child with girlfriend Amanda Conner, a rep for the couple has confirmed to PEOPLE.

Amanda, excited about the pregnancy, shared how much this new chapter means for both her and Ryan. “Ryan and I are very excited about our pregnancy,” Amanda said in a statement, in which she added, “We have overcome so much in the last year and a half, and we are in a very happy, safe place.”

For Amanda, this pregnancy marks a fresh start. “For me, I can enjoy this pregnancy and I have a second chance at motherhood. For Ryan, he is in a place that he hasn’t been in for a long time. We are excited to move forward from our past mistakes,” she added.

Their joy was somewhat of a surprise. Amanda explained that they only realized she was pregnant after both she and Ryan experienced morning sickness. As she recounted: “We found out only due to me having morning sickness, and ironically, Ryan had morning sickness as well and we just decided to take a test and it came out to be positive.”

Ryan, who has had his share of ups and downs, is already a father of three. He shares 15-year-old son Bentley with ex Maci Bookout McKinney, as well as son Jagger, 6, and daughter Stella, 4, with ex MacKenzie Edwards.

The road to this new chapter hasn’t been easy for Ryan. In the past, he faced challenges with sobriety and the law. Last October, he revealed during the Teen Mom: Next Chapter reunion that he was five months sober. His journey to recovery included a 30-45 day stint in rehab earlier in the year, and he’s been focused on improving his life since.

However, before his path to sobriety, Ryan found himself in legal trouble. In April 2023, he was arrested for violating probation after previous charges related to possession of a controlled substance and DUI. Just a month prior, he had been arrested on charges of stalking and violating an order of protection.

Despite these struggles, Ryan has been working on building a stronger relationship with his children. In October 2023, he posted a heartwarming photo of him and Bentley on the golf course, both smiling and dressed in matching polos and hats. The proud dad has been spending more quality time with his son, capturing another memorable moment in June when he and Bentley posed with Amanda on the golf course.

As Ryan and Amanda look ahead to welcoming their first child together, they’re grateful for the support of their family and friends. “We have a great support system with family and friends, and they’re all very happy for this new chapter of our lives,” Amanda shared.
